The weather was perfect; it wasn't scorching hot. We went on the suspended bridge, supposedly it's the longest suspended bridge in the world. The bridge itself was beautiful. It was super sturdy, and I am usually scared of heights but this one was pretty easy for me. So we continued on the trail, we went inside of a little cave; and it was fun. Definitely a fun workout and fun outing with family. Every picture that I took was beautiful; the nature was picturesque!

Once inside the park you will walk on a crushed stone or cement trail that follows the Coaticook River. There are great views of the river. At one point you reach the main attraction, a suspension bridge that takes you hundreds of feet above the river. It's terrifying if you are scared of heights. In another area, you can climb the stairs up a tower and look out over the countryside. There are restrooms along the trail. At night they have an interesting light show. Coaticook is an interesting town. They have a museum, an ice cream manufacturing plant (and ice cream stand), a microbrewery, a small hiking mountain, restaurants, and shops.

Beautiful planting's. Small gazebo. Statue honoring Samuel de Champlain. Street parking (free) nearby. It seems to be in a local historic district. Historical houses nearby. I was sure Canada is a bilingual country it is extremely disrespectful to ignore the majority of the population. secondly I see no reason why dogs (on a leash) would not be aloud on some of the trails, this park could easily be dog friendly. If you want to walk around the lake, it will take about 90 minutes at a leisurely pace. Good vistas of the lake and impressive houses scattered along the park. I think the cost is $8.50 per adult. The park gets busy over the weekend as it is very close to Montreal, yet there is a lot of space for everybody and the crowds thin out as you go further climbing the hills. At the top of Hubbard Park is the Hubbard Tower that was built between 1915 and 1930. Only 65 steps…read moreto the top, it is made of stones gathered from nearby abandoned walls and fences when the park was used as grasing pastures. It was designed to look a bit like a medieval ruin and contains a metal stairway that seemed safe enough to climb today. I opted to drive about as close to the tower as I could and was able to pull off to the side of the road. That left about a half-mile hike to the summit and then the tower. I used to love this place and go a lot as a teen and young adult. One year I almost drowned,…read moreslipped and was sucked under by the current. Fire and EMT had to use a hovercraft to get to me. In the end I was ok, with minor concussion and lesions but that was the scariest time in my life. I was pinned to the bottom for what seemed like forever, feeling like it was all slipping away to fast, and all i could think about was not being able to pick up my kids on time from their dads. Thank goodness they were not with me that day. No a great place for little kids AT ALL. Just be safe. Mother nature is not one to mess around with. I will give it a 5 because it is a spectacular place, and gorgeous.

A great way to spend a sunny day in Waterbury state park. There are also picnic tables and barbecue grills for those who enjoy picnics. Swimming too! This is a beautiful hilly park that overlooks Waterbury Reservoir, with BBQ grills and picnic…read morebenches right up on top of the grassy hill. We came on one overcast afternoon, and the view from the top was still spectacular. Once you turn onto Reservoir Road off the main road, the ticket gate is only about a minute's drive, and a drive for a further 30 seconds or so will take you to a dead end where you can park and take in the view. The park is less known than Little River State Park, but close to the Cider Mill and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, so it was a natural stop for us, and I'm glad we did!
