EXCELLENT was my partners first words when he landed! Im scared of heights so wouldn't do this in a million years but I paid for my partner to do this for part of his birthday present. Theres several firms who do this who all have units on the main street of Olu Deniz where we stayed. I'd done some research before our holiday and some of the web sites I'd read and forums said prices were around £70/£80. The time you get to float down depends on the weather and the thermals. Any reputable operator won't go if the weathers bad and will give you a different date, so don't leave it till the last day of your holiday. I paid around £40 for his flight and they were very helpful and good. They picked up at 8am from our hotel and my daughter and I went down to the beach to wait for him to float back down. Apparently the truck ride up the mountain was a little nail biting with sheer drops at the side of the road, which later turned in to more of a dirt track. You could wait with the operator at their landing site,but we chose to sit at our faveourite bar on the beach with the laid back comfy seats. When he safely landed they take you back to their office which usually depending on the operator just set back off the beach and you can watch your short film and then, depending on your price and what you've agreed, it may come in with the price (I think, but not 100% certain) this may have been included with the more expensive ones, but we paid seperately for ours. I would certainly recommend this and if we ever went back to the lovely resort of Olu Deniz I may consider doing it myself. There were young (kids of about 8) and old doing this. read more
