What would a Disney hotel look like in the northern plains of Austria - Well, I suspect it would look pretty much like this.
That said, we had a really nice stay at the Paridiso hotel and spa, despite the overtly colorful decor and the overstated features such as antler displays and glass encased torches. Our room was simple, but well appointed, with an outdoor balcony. Compared to a couple other places we've been to, I thought the breakfast and dinner offerings a little less than spectacular, but service was attentive and the food was palatable... just not off the charts amazing.
We were drawn here by the access to the spa next door, which has a fairly large 'textile area' with two swim-up bars in a really warm indoor-outdoor pool, as well as several other distractions, like a warm pool where you can lounge and watch movies.
There's also a naturist/sauna area with several rest areas, various sauna amenities, and a warm and and 'not very warm' pool where no swim-suits are required. I did the Caribbean 'tranken' sauna that included as fruity drink half way through the sweat routine. It was really hot - I bailed after the beverage!
Not sure this would be our first choice for a return visit, but we had a nice stay here and felt well attended to. Seems it would be a little lack-luster in the middle of winter. read more
