Birdie!

I see all the comments pertaining to the older gentleman in the pro shop. I think it's quite funny because if you give respect he will give you respect. You get what you paid for I mean if you're trying to practice this is a great place and it's pretty affordable. They have a driving range and a place to practice chip shots. I've been coming here more since they closed down CrackerJax.

Mower on the fairway hole 1 at 130pm.

What a dog track. Greens were never overseeded and are trash. Fairways are full of trash and weeds. Will never play here again. Staff was rude as could be. On the first tee box at 1pm and had to wait 20 minutes for the mower to clear. Place is a joke to golf. If you love the game and want to play at a reasonable place DO NOT GO HERE. Wish negative 5 stars was an option. This place is an embarrassment to the game of golf

On course "water fountain".

I've been going here for years and it's sad to see the place in constant decline. This place has so much potential but unfortunately it's not realized. The cart paths are full of potholes, fairways are full of dirt, there's no beverage cart on course, and the guy in the pro shop is probably one of the most miserable people I've ever met. The location and layout are great, but it's in desperate need of rehabbing/investment.

We only went to the driving range and the putting green, so the price for a bucket of balls is phenomenal.

Now Phoenician only has 18 holes, lost 9 holes to vacation homes being build around the course. The course is still beautiful and back 9 has some good views with beautiful landscape surrounding the course. As for the course, it is in excellent condition with minor brown patches due to the summer heat. Most holes are target golf so Make sure you know where to aim. It is challenging due to undulating fairways and greens where our group truly enjoy the round. Will definitely return when I find good deals on teeoff.com again. Nice golf carts with TuneIn stations. Cooler with ice to chill your canteens. Chill bottled water provided in most comfort stations Friendly OSP and staffs. Bathroom on course: A+

Unbelievable effort Customer service has been declining in pretty much every area of the service industry over the last 5 yrs or more. The effort given by James and the manager was nice to receive. He asked why we needed another cart. He never told us our rounds came with a cart. I also witnessed 2 guys (who we ended up playing with) who checked in got the worse service. Andy threw (literally) their receipt and credit card at them. It's just unacceptable, especially first thing in the morning prior to tee off. I have staff on the front line and would never let this slide. I hope he gets some good customer service training or put him behind the office away from the public.

We then grabbed our golf balls and clubs and headed on out. Once outside, we stood in line for the black course. Both the red and black courses had long lines but we opted for the black. We waited about 15 minutes to finally be able to start. It was really busy so we moved slow as there was one big group ahead of us. There was also a big ol line behind us. We played all 18 holes and it took close to 3 hours to complete. We had lots of fun though and the music was lit. The course itself was challenging and fun. It was a nice night out as it was not hot and they had the fans going on at full blast. This place was great! Will be back! They have military and senior discounts available!

Upon checking in and paying, there is an assortment of putters and color-coded golf balls so you know whose ball is whose. Our party of six (max players in a group) played our way through the black 18-hole course in about an hour. Tiger Woods designed this course with two 18-hole courses, red and black (his Sunday colors) and it's a surprisingly challenging play. The green carpet is dense and plush, not like the Astroturf of many similar courses. The "sand traps" are areas of white carpet that is slightly shaggier than the green. Food and beverages are available on the course with a QR code to scan and order, there is a nice outdoor spot where we sat and ordered lunch. Next to us was a play area with ping-pong and bags, and a fenced toddler play yard. Our lunch was good and I highly recommend checking it out if you're in Scottsdale!
