    Rough area between pads

Eh, not impressed, really. I mean wow they really do strive to keep it clean, but any campsite with a partial hookup has the freeway for a backyard. Not so good when U have a tent trailer. Now if U wanna ruff it more than we are able to, deeper in, there are a lot of great looking, large and beautiful camping spots. This makes me feel like it's a better campground for young families and younger groups who don't have anyone with mobility issues. Speaking of mobility issues, we usually camp at the ADA sites and we're kind of apalled by theirs! Quite far from the facilities, which the only path to is the semi rough roadway you drive on. Dangerous for a walker or wheelchair to traverse the length of road to the restroom and showers...which ARE roll-in, btw. My only issue with them is the hooks for Ur towel etc., are on the wall that gets sprayed with the water, instead of the wall near the door handle, which stays dry. Hard to have a dry towel that way! Sadly, the trailer pad and picnic table pad at this 'ADA' site has a 2 foot gap of rough ground between them, again making it difficult for a walker/wheelchair to navigate! Wtheck?? Additionally, the trailer pad has ruts, cracks and gullies in it that make even walking DANGEROUS, and near impossible for a walker or w/chr user. In the end, we will not be back, and have the unfortunate job of reporting this campsite to the feds to have it brought up to ADA standards, as it certainly does not meet them. Sorry, but we don't want anyone hurt!

Was a nice little park with the exception of it's proximity to the freeway, there was quite a bit of freeway noise. The weekend that we went it did rain quite a bit so the site and surrounding areas were pretty muddy.

Trash at the campsite, my wife cleaned up.

I can't say much for this place. I knew it was close to freeway so the noise from traffic was expected. What wasn't expected was the sad condition of this state park. We just came from a beautiful Oregon State park so I was excited to book this place for a full week. Had medical appts in Portland so why not camp in between. We got here and our site was so muddy that your boot would get pulled off stepping outside. I was unsure of safety. One site had garbage under their trailer was spilling out. Now mind you people have hard times and what a great way to camp out but when you start piling "Garbage/alcohol " bottles all over (not just a few) the campsite, someone (host) is not doing his/her job. There was broken dishes behind the tree at our site. We wanted to to exploring but didn't feel safe leaving our site. We left after one night.

As all the reviews state, the noise from I5 is constant. If you can tune out the jake breaks, it's a nice park. The yurt was clean and comfortable, but bring a camping pad to put over the futon mattress if you have a bad back. Single occupancy bathrooms with hand soap were a pleasant surprise. River looked pretty calm, would be a nice place to kayak or canoe with the family.

The staff here are decent but the park itself is a disaster. Every dumpster in the park has been over full for the the 3 days we have been here. The primitive outhouse is absolutely disgusting, but regular bathrooms are fine. There's a couple holes in the spot your supposed to put tent in. There is a burn ban in effect not but fire pit & picnic table were both clean. If you're not in decent physical shape, these primitive sites probably are not for you. Fairly steep trail with several roots. Great water pressure for showers. 2 tokens for 6 minutes to shower & tokens are 2 for $1 (have to get in token machine next to front office).

    A small cliff

Overall a nice camping spot, it has a river nearby that you can swim in and the bathrooms are fairly clean. The only downsides are the traffic noise since the freeway is nearby but it isn't bothersome for me. But there is a bridge that goes across the river which is quite loud.

Super nice, except the little beach is right under the highway bridge. Quite annoying. The river is excellent, and they have a path following it. The pathless kept up very nicely. It was quiet when we went, but there are not a lot of people out with this Corona virus stuff.

Was searching for last-minute campsite for a Memorial Day weekend camping trip and Paradise Point came up. The state park is pretty neat. It's right on the Lewis River, and there are some decent, easy trails accessible from the camp sites. Also, the park is conveniently located just 15 minutes outside of Vancouver. My girlfriend and I left our tent (which was safe and untouched) and went into Portland and spent a day there. Sites are clean and include a picnic table and a fire pit. There are decent showers that cost 50 cents for 3 minutes of warm water (WATCH OUT they can get scalding hot!). The restrooms are average for any public park. The only complaint about the park would be its proximity to interstate 5. Half of the sites are pretty close to the freeway and while not deafening loud, it is certainly not quiet like most other campsite. Try to get one of the higher numbered sites farther from the freeway. We stayed in site 71, which was on the far side of the park away from the freeway and it wasn't too loud. Also, keep in mind there are plenty of families with children (who can get pretty noisy) at this park.

Upper portion of trail, wide trail covered in fall leaves.

I don't understand why they would build a state park right next to I-5 . I could not sleep because of the noise from the freeway.

On a sunny day, in any month, the view is just spectacular. You can see both Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens from the beach area. The beach is clothing optional and people are in all variations from nude, to topless, to clothed. So if walking around naked isn't your thing, don't let that stop you. You do you and everyone else will do themselves. It all works. As you drive down NW Raider, you will pass the Island Cove Market. if you haven't bought a permit to park, stop here to get one. It's $7 a day or $30 for an annual pass, well worth it. Don't neglect to buy the permit, they patrol frequently and will fine or tow!!! After the Island Cove Market you will pass a beach - you will know based on the cars all parked on the left and a hill to the right with several stairs and handrails taking you over the small hill to beach. Keep driving. When you hit the gravel road, you are in Clothing Optional Beach territory. Anywhere along this several mile stretch, park your car to the left and walk through the various marked paths to the right. When you walk through the clearing, you will be delighted by the sight of a decent sized white sandy beach, the river sprawled out in front of you with views across the water to the grass and trees. Plus Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood standing proud. It's stunning! And so peaceful. There are no bathroom facilities. This is Sauvie Island and it's not built up or commercialized. That's part of the charm and why it remains so pristine. There are porta potties located every 40 feet or so along the parking area. As well as garbage bins. Do take all your trash with you, don't leave it on the beach. This beach is great for long walks, sunbathing, picnics, floating or swimming in the water. In the summer, the water is actually pretty warm. And few waves other than when a large barge goes by and creates some waves. So if you like stunning scenery, peace and quiet plus water you can swim in, check it out! I plan on frequenting often this summer. I'll be the one in full bathing suit and a sun hat!

The park's 2.8‑mile trail winds through a mix of dense forest and sunlit meadows along the East Fork Lewis River, giving you moments of peaceful reflection and wide-open breathing room. We decided to spend our time taking Halloween photos all over the park. While enjoying ourselves, it was great inspiration. There is something grounding about the tall Douglas firs and the hum of the river nearby. I found a quiet spot on one of the gravel paths, sat down for a bit, and just watched as the river ran. Apparently it's not just a walking park, either..there are places to picnic, horseshoe pits, and even a small boat launch if you want to get out on the water. There are lots of picnic tables and covered shelters too, perfect for a family gathering or a chill afternoon with friends. I heard on warm days, people swim here..though heads up, there are no lifeguards and the river currents can be strong. Parking is simple, though there's a daily fee (around $3 for a car). If you come here often, the annual pass is a pretty good deal. If you're craving a place to get away from the city, stretch your legs, or just be near water and trees, Lewisville Regional Park is the perffffect place. It's peaceful, historic (hello, WPA-era charm), and deeply rooted in nature. See my pictures for yourself hehe

We took the loop trail, about 3 miles around the park, into the forest and along the river. There are multiple large grassy areas, play areas, and courts. The pavilions are superb. They are fully equipped, including a water source and fire pit, and are spread out throughout the acreage. The trail was great as well. The paths are very wide and well maintained, a dog walkers paradise. I was also impressed with the amount of trash cans, no excuse for litter in this park. There was a very small thing that really impressed me, hadn't seen it before...a container near the waters edge to place used fishing line. Would love to see those more often! The ONLY negative experience we had was trying to get in. Neither of the parking pass machines were working well and consistently. It took us about 10 tries to get a ticket. After multiple swipes of the credit card and attempts with some bills, we finally got one. And it wasn't us, we had a long line behind us and multiple people out trying to get them to work. When we left the park we noticed the same traffic jam...they definitely need addressed! As frustrating as the parking machines were, the park made up for it. Fabulous place to spend an afternoon!
