Great place. They…read moreprobably have the best ice cream in Bardolino. It's nice to see that the Italian girls working in this place fluently speak both English and German. Portions are huge! Which for a man is great, whereas a lady might wanna share the ice cream with someone! The location is optimal, in the hearth of Bardolino and with plenty of seats close to the lake. And the atmosphere at nighttime is magic. I would recommend to try the cocktail "Criatallo", a huge cocktail that is extremely good to start a fun night out. I'll go back to this place soon!
Man gewinnt einen Eindruck über den allabendlichen Kundenandrang, auch wenn die Farben etwas verrutscht sind ;)

Along the side of this harbour are the most picturesque row of cafes and shops that you could ever want to see. Interestingly, if the day is warm, there will be one shop that has a large crowd outside it - La Cremeria di Lazise. Essentially an ice-cream shop, however the variety and quality are exceptional. Definitely worth a visit - and my tip is chocolate!

Don't be there after six

Just rapid-fire "Which one? Which one?" When I finally said "chocolate," the server hit me with a very pointed "AND?" ... apparently one scoop is not an acceptable life choice here. Prices were clearly listed: two scoops = €6. Cool. Simple. Except somehow both my friend and I were charged €10 each. When I asked why, they said it was because we got "bigger scoops." Fascinating concept, since that pricing policy exists nowhere on the menu and appears to be invented on the spot. If scoop size magically changes the price, maybe put that little detail in writing instead of springing it on customers after the fact..? So yes, €20 total for rushed, mediocre ice cream and a masterclass in upselling pressure. The staff wasn't friendly, the experience felt deliberately confusing, and the pricing was conveniently flexible in their favor. This place single-handedly turned a nice outing into a lesson in consumer vigilance. Would not return. Would not recommend. If you do go, ask about pricing before they start handing you ice cream samples to guilt you into a sale and then charging you for the deluxe surprise package.

Ok so we may have had gelato pretty much every day on holiday but that just gives us a broader range of knowledge to draw inspiration from in sourcing the very best in town... This place is about 5 mins walk from the Bardolino beach and well worth going off the main tourist trail. Major shout-outs to the random Red Bull flavour (you've gotta try it once in a lifetime!) the chocolate ones are all ace and the 'Kinder' one was pretty nice. Not so sure on trying the blue smurf one - that one is saved for my next hols!

Because there is no season, yet - not all kinds of icecream were available. The taste: Unfortunately I wasn't convinced. Only vanilla and chocolate were good, the other varieties weren't my kind of taste. So for the future: If I go to Italy, I'll have the typical Italian icecream.
