This company is the worst we ever dealt with . First off we never heard a word from them and our gas tank that was piped into the house was so light we could lift it off the ground thats how empty it was. Were they just waiting for us to run out? We called and the representative gave my Mother such an attitude like he couldnt be bothered to deliver us gas. Do NOT use this company if you can avoid it. They are terrible, unhelpful, and overwhelmed by their own bureaucracy.. More importantly, they put me and my family in danger by deciding - without informing me - that they weren't going to refill my gas tank (even though it's regularly scheduled) because my current tank needed to be replaced, by them! I only discovered this when, on a freezing cold Friday night, I had no heat or hot water. I think the problem is they aren't a customer service style company. That is probably related to 2 reasons, 1. They are growing fast with acquisitions and the staff is very new to customer service industry. 2. They are financially strapped making capital tight and that will slow things down. I am a new customer, and it has been chaotic for starters and i feel customer service is at a loss. The customer service people have no real answers and that is due to lack of training. The personnel have no real authority to make any decisions and that is a lack of leadership. At this point I am stuck with my decision due to there are no better alternatives, i have found in my area all gas company are poorly ran. I have been with Paraco gas for years and have been happy with their service. Yesterday I had a gas fill visit on my in-ground tank of 10 plus years. The Paraco guy who cane to fill it, Joe Losasso, was very professional and knowledgeable and because he had a background also in service he was well versed with the tank! Perfect service! Paraco customer beware if you are out of propane they charge you a $149 fee to check their own equipment. I was told this is standard in the industry - simply not true. Called two other companies and they both had no such fees! One told me that it's at most a three minute check and all they do is spray a soapy solution to the top of the tank to check for leaks and that that should be standard with any delivery. I was also told that I should observe the color of the flame as I cook to know I was low on propane but how about if I'm color blind how does that help! And also since it is their equipment shouldn't they check the system at least annually to insure the safety since propane is flammable! read more

I bought a house and Paraco was the previous supplier. Fast forward to this past Friday, and my gas was turned off, Paraco had come by and locked my tank. No note, nothing in the mailbox, nothing. When I called to have someone come back and set it up, they said it couldn't be done for a few days since I wasn't customer - well I'm looking at your tank in my back yard, do you want that back or no? So I called Liberty Gas who came by in a few hours, set me up with a new tank and I'm on my way with a new company and better service. read more

Today is 8-6-19 the day I canceled my service with this incompetent company. I wish I could give zero stars. How they are still in business is beyond me. I wish I would of listened to all the warnings & bad reviews from everyone. They tell you their rates are the "going" rates. It is a lie. Do your homework, I learned the hard way. They want to charge me $6.35 a gallon. Plus a yearly rental/maintenance fee of $95 to use their tank. Call other companies. 1. Most others do not charge you a rental fee for their tanks. 2. Most other companies are way cheaper per gallon. The first two companies I called were cheaper by 50cents to a dollar per gallon. What put my over the top to leave them was they charged me three different times in a 24 hour period. I asked them to please cancel all the charges for a total over $1,100. Which then puts a hold on my checking account for $1,100 for 3-5 business days. I then called my bank regarding the charges. My bank said all you need to do is have PARACO Gas send them a fax stating they canceled the charges. Then I would get my money back "today". Well Paraco told me that they will not fax my bank the letter and that I have to wait the 3-5 business days to get my $1,100 that they wrongfully charged. He said we don't have a company letterhead to fax a letter. He said I did what I had to do and canceled the charges for you. His name was Brian ID# 3758 a customer service representative. I have been a customer of Paraco for 5 years, but having difficulty getting delivery. On 2/20 I called to schedule delivery. At first Paraco service said they required a tank inspection before delivery. Subsequently Paraco informed me that no inspection was required and delivery was scheduled. There was no delivery. on 3/13 Paraco inspected the tank, with no issues. No delivery. on 3/19 I called Paraco to ask about delivery. Paraco reports we are on delivery list, but no delivery is scheduled. I am unable to get a straight answer from Paraco on when to expect delivery, much less receive a delivery. Ira H. read more

And so it continues .... 2 months after moving out my credit card gets charged for a gas bill for the new people that live there. I called my bank and had to pay a $35 fee to cancel the payment. Then I called Paraco Gas company and told them that I could not believe that my card had been used to make a payment. Since when I used to call to request gas they needed all my information every time I called. So when I called to cancel the account they removed my name from the account but left my credit card information for that address. It is so unbelievably that this could happen. But after explaining the whole situation to the nice manager that called me back that same day. They decided to send me a check for the bank fee of $35 Dollars. I have now cancel my card and hat to order a new one. I suggest to keep track and keep checking your bank accounts for there fees. Avoid this company. Purchased a home and it had this companies tank outside and I requested a refill and account set up. First they charge you fro everything & claim "Be there tomorrow!" Not Then they fill the tank..... Three days later the safety meeting and all the things that need to change and that the tech would need to return another day and charge more. I have been a customer since Paraco was Vitale... almost 30 years now! I am paying $5.60 per gallon! I called all over and was quoted in $2.60-$2.80 per gallon. My friends and family pulled out their bills and showed me they are paying the same lower rates. When I call paraco, they tell me it's based on usage... I had my hot water/heat tank filled at 55 gallons... this is delivered to a 100 gallon tank on an regular basis... are they kidding me? There MUST be some law that governs these gauged prices. - to top it all off, they are going to charge me to remove the tanks. $139.00 - while the new gas company will disconnect the tanks so all they are doing is picking up the tanks. - nonetheless, that $139.00 price will be soooo worth saying good bye to these astronomical charges.
