Can't get any cheaper than that

Came home for girlfriend trip with high school friends and was so excited to find this place. I grew up on L&J and Edmonds and wish we more local spots. Please support local!! Especially when it's so so good. Everything was fresh and perfect. Service was friendly and prices was from back in time for this Louisville girl.

    Complimentary apple fritters!

Yelp did not let us down! We had a delicious and filling breakfast here. After we got our beverages and ordered, the server brought a couple of apple fritters, on the house. The fritters were delicious! Hubby and I both ordered the breakfast skillet, his with bacon, over easy eggs and a biscuit, mine had bacon, scrambled eggs and toast. Everything was delicious and we ordered 6 apple fritters to go! (Great marketing on the part of Pappy's.) Only thing that would have been better is butter on the toast instead of margarine. Thanks for a great breakfast experience.

    Wow what an omelette!

This is going to be added to our favorites! We had breakfast but will return again for a lunch.

Pappy's served up just what we needed - delicious food and warm hospitality. Open since 2017, don't be fooled, this strip mall diner is amazing. Fresh, yummy, home cooking is here. I loved how caramelized the veggies in my omelette were. Yes, get the fritters and buy some to go for your best friend. COVID 19 safety is being observed here. We loved all of it, and you will too!

Was very disappointed in my order today. Hadn't eaten there in a while and thought I would give a carryout a try. I ordered spaghetti. When asked if I wanted, bake spaghetti, I replied no just regular spaghetti. I asked if it came with a side such as a side salad she replied no just garlic bread. When I picked it up, my first thought was oh this is awful light. Is this my order? Yes, it was my order. There was enough spaghetti probably for a child's serving, and two pieces of garlic bread laying on top of the spaghetti to become soggy. The sauce was average in taste with maybe just a little too much oregano. Needless to say there's no value for your money on this meal. Spaghetti is one of the cheapest meals that can be fixed. Amount charged $12.50. I am aware that in today's financial climate, a lot of places are having a rough time. The cost/serving size of this item should be reevaluated and brought in line with some of your other dishes. Next time I'll just go to Giovanni's, not only more spaghetti but cheaper. There a serving of carryout spaghetti is $7.49 and an order of garlic bread is $3.49 total cost $10.98.

The shelves were adorned with an extensive collection of books, while other charming items lined the walls. Their menu offered a diverse range of dishes, catering to various tastes. As an avid Eggs Benedict enthusiast, my choice was an easy one. My companion opted for the breakfast bowl with bacon, and both dishes were exceptionally tasty, with well-balanced seasoning. I couldn't help but notice a steak sizzling on a lava rock, promising a delectable culinary experience. However, the service was slightly slow due to the restaurant's popularity. Despite the crowd, our waitress was incredibly kind and even offered an apology for any inconvenience caused. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or brunch when visiting the area.

Flavor was great though Perfectly mid: the potato, the breadsticks, and the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is just kraft with extra shredded which to me is perfect. The potato needed maybe a full salt shaker of salt and extra sour cream, but everything else about it was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The breadsticks were just good but nothing to write home about. Would come back for this: footlong chili cheese dog. The hotdog was genuinely really good. Perfect amount of juice and flavor, and paired with the chili and mustard was peak. However, I do not think I could finish it by myself and did split it with a friend. We also had to eat with a fork and a knife, but that was fine and honestly better. Water: tap.

I typically drink water with dinner, but when I'm home I can't resist a fountain Pepsi. Because in Florida, most everyone has Coke lol! We were served warm buttery bread with butter on the side. Yes please! The bread was soft and the butter melted when spread on a slice. The server advised the ribeye was one of the top sellers so that made my choice easy. It was served with a side salad which was crispy and fresh. I went with the house made ranch dressing, which I greatly enjoyed. When dinner arrived you could see the steam coming off the food from. When I cut into the ribeye it was cooked medium, just as requested and the juices were falling out all over the plate. My steak was tender, flavorful and delicious! The loaded baked potato, minus cheese, was also hot and tasty. Ashley took great care of us! She was friendly and attentive. I look forward to my next visit home so I can take my parents to dinner at The Train Station.
