Kathe Wolfhahrt is the quintessential holiday shop in Germany. You'll find anything and everything iconically christmas for this region of the world and it will not let you down. On this trip I found a great pyramid that I'll get to enjoy with my own family and added a charming little chubby cat man smoker to our holiday collection. I'll caution you that it isn't cheap, but I do think the quality of this shop is much better than other little vendors you'll find in the region, and honestly even if you don't end up purchasing anything it's a really fun shop to explore and look at these pieces of German artwork.

All of the staff speak very good English and there is a large variety of gifts from the very expensive to the very affordable. Beer steins, glassware, figurines, ornaments, decorative wooden nutcrackers, and on and on. There is fine crystalware and the common tourist magnets and pens. Surely you can find a lovely gift for yourself or a loved one here. I very much enjoyed wandering around admiring the variety of giftware. After stopping by to take photos of the Cuckoo Clock, pop inside for a souvenir magnet, German wineglasses, a glass stein, a Hummel or an ornament and to say hello. I believe they ship-just ask.
