We are frequent shoppers at Office Depot/Office Max in the U.S. So, when we needed some office…read moresupplies and saw there was a store in Oaxaca, it was a no-brainer. And, pretty much "no-brainer" fits the description of the competency and service provided in Oaxaca. It was like a scene from a Zombie movie. Not one person greeted us, and too many employees with nothing to do, just walking slowly around (one fixated on picking his nose), and not one asking if we needed help. We finally asked one employee for help, specifically to get down an item that was up high on the shelves in the storage section. He said, I can only get those for purchase.....uh wtf do you think I want to do with it, is going on in my head? I'm holding the floor model and telling him I need one in a box. We head to the checkout and with a few dozen items coming out of the cart, she wants to know if we want a bag. Hmmm, what do you think? Keep in mind that Oaxaca does not have the same plastic-bag policy that the U.S. has in some cities. The store has about 60% of the usual Office Depot supplies, but not sure it's worth the bizarre and surreal experience.
