Upon entering I was pleasantly surprised. Not only do they have a good selection that matches some of the mega firework stores but more importantly the people are really really really nice! It looked like a family run store with multi-generations working and serving all the customers. Regardless of age everyone working the store were very polite and helpful! I plan to keep visiting this store every time we vacation on Hilton Head!

All-in-all, an initial 5-start place, with the exception of 2 things: Signs up and down I-95 for dozens of miles advertise this place and they very boldly claim that they are the absolute lowest prices in all of South Carolina. Having stopped at a few different places up and down 95 yesterday, I can say that that claim is just not true. I mean if they advertised "low prices," I would completely agree with them and say that they do indeed have good prices, not much higher than anyone else or even lower in some cases. I HATE false advertising, and to claim that you have the lowest prices in an entire state is ludicrous, it's even worse when you don't have the lowest prices on 95, or... Buy 1 Get 1 Free. This is the staple advertising ploy of just about every single fireworks place anywhere. They didn't have any. Yes, their prices were good, but there were many things I didn't buy here because I know that just about every other fireworks place has a BOGO area in the store. Did I expect $500 artillary kits to be BOGO? No, but I'd expect some BOGO bottle rockets or sparklers or the like.

These are the most expensive fireworks I've ever bought. They are significantly more expensive than I've bought in past. This is first time buying fireworks in GA so may be standard for GA. The buy one get one free is annoying bc you may not want 2 and the price has clearly been jacked up. I'd much rather just pay the price and buy what I need. 2. About 10-20% of the fireworks I bought didn't shoot off. This was limited to Roman candles and smoke bombs but given the price that they cost I would have expected far better quality. I will next year plan ahead and buy fireworks elsewhere. The cost and quality are just unjustifiable in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure Daffin Park (DP) is the largest recreational park in Savannah. Located in the…read moreHistoric District, the park is huge, at about 80 acres. It's home to the Grayson Stadium, where the Savannah Bananas (baseball team) play. There are multiple types of fields suitable for sports like soccer, football or really any sport that requires lots of space to play. There is a playground, dog park and a large pond with walking trails. DP is also a great location for big outdoor events. We've been to Earth Day Savannah, an event that is held there every year. We've also been to the Savannah Food Truck Festival at DP, which are always fun. The park allows for people to spread out and claim their own space without feeling squished together. We've also been to military ceremonies located in the park as well. Our kids love to play at the playground and there are mature trees all over the entire park that provide lots of much appreciated shade on those hot Southern summer days! Lots of parking can be found all throughout. Obviously, it gets more tricky for large events. DP is not as well manicured like Forsyth Park, but it's still a great place to hang out, enjoy the outdoors, play, walk or even to get some food and have a picnic! I was excited to be in town for a Xmas event so I had to make sure to see the boat parade for Xmas…read more It honestly seemed like I waited forever for the boats to start and when it did, there was the loudest horn ever that was sounded to signify the start. I think everyone got extremely startled by it. My favorite floats were a Santa float, a reindeer head that looked like a fish, and a couple of brighter lit boats. Most boats were tiny. As soon as it came by, they came by fast, and went all the way down the river then to come back to the Westin hotel. This made the parade slow and people who were anxiously awaiting the fireworks ended up leaving because it was so slow. I also didn't want to wait forever and ended up leaving. I don't know how the parade was by the Westin, but by the river, it was crowded but soon the crowd faded fast. The people need to be engaged or or they will leave!!
