This little bakery seems underwhelming by its low-key front, almost non-noticeable in one of the…read morebustling side streets near Nowy Swiat, but it sure packs in a big punch as far as Polish donuts (paczki) are concerned. We tried the traditional rose flavor, rose with almonds, custard, raspberries and some other flavor i can't remember now. They were all delicious. The first time we ordered was when the paczki were fresh out of the oven maybe no more than 20min. The dough was warm and chewy and the filling spilled out once you bite into it. so yummy! Even though t's a small place and easy to miss but 9 out of 10 you'll notice a line forming outside of it's display and cashier's window. Takes credit card is a plus.

After hearing so many good things about this bakery, I went there on a Saturday afternoon just…read morebefore its closing time (4 p.m.). At this hour of the day, the selection of bread and pastries was rather limited (which is understandable) so I tried the "pain au chocolat", croissant, and regular "baguette". The "pain au chocolat" and "croissant" were both good although they could have used a little more butter in their preparation. On the other hand, I was disappointed by the "baguette": it lacked sponginess and felt dry. You might argue that this is due to the fact that it wasn't bought fresh out of the oven in the morning. But anyways, a good "baguette" should still be good at 4 p.m. and is usually still OK the next morning. I don't think I'll be going back for their famed "baguette" as there are other bakeries/shops (e.g. SAM) where you can get good bread in Warsaw. All of these undoubtedly won't be using flour imported straight from the Fouché mills in France but seriously, who cares ? (Nice marketing though)
