The reality is that this like a warm municipal swimming pool situated just off the highway. It's not very deep, it's definitely not hot, and it's very well attended. On the day we went there were tons of families so it felt like your average public pool experience but slightly warmer and quite a bit shallower. We hung out for maybe 15-20 minutes before leaving. The facility felt clean but you know, public swimming pool vibes so clean but not pristine. It was about -10c while we were there so maybe it's "hotter" when the temps are not quite so frigid? Wouldn't recommend or stop here again.

Even though this wall is small when compared to whole gyms, it has a wide enough range of routes to keep the majority of climbers busy for a long time. New routes get put up often enough, and there are always creative ways to challenge yourself. I would drive down from my home after work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and climb from opening to close all winter and never be bored. In the summer time our visits were a little less frequent since we'd just hit the outdoor crags after work. I wish a gym like this existed in Toronto - small yet always interesting, cheap, and run by someone as awesome as Herb. Prices are super low - last time I was by it was $5 to climb for the evening including rentals or $80 for the year. Prices like this are unheard of anywhere else. Beginners get free lessons and there are plenty of helpful, well-skilled climbers around to assist with anything you may need help with. If you're around Invermere any weekend stop by and pull on some plastic in a supportive and helpful environment.

My instructor was Brodie. Dude is such a chiller and knows how to have fun, highly recommended you request him if possible. The zipline course also has great views of the surrounding mountains and wetlands, a real highlight for me. Also got to meet Mike, the Mayor of Radium. Really love what he's doing w the town.

I've been out this way my whole life and it wasn't until this weekend that my family and I came out for an afternoon of bowling. It's 5-pin here and there's 6 lanes. There's also a pool table and ping pong. I would suggest making a reservation on a long weekend as they were fully booked when I arrived and wanted to add a couple more people. They book you a lane for an hour which is enough time to get in 2 games and they leave a 30 minute window between bookings so you're not feeling rushed to get out for the next group. They have the usual bowling alley food like hot dogs and beer, but you're not allowed to bring it to your lane. This seems like an antiquated rule. I remember this being a thing when I was a kid but in recent years most alleys I've been to allow food in your area, just not on the hardwood; for obvious reasons. This stopped me from enjoying a beer during my visit as I wanted to sit with my family and chat while I watched them bowl, not stand on the other side of the glass partition all alone.

Like everything else in Banff this hike was pretty crowded, but at least i knew we were in good company if a bear decided to join us. I forgot to bring bear spray so assumed one of the other 800 people on the trail had to have it. The view from the top was gorgeous - so we sat for awhile and enjoyed it. My legs were definitely tired when I made it down, but had enough energy to walk back to the Fairmont. For those staying at the Fairmont it's an easy walk to and from tunnel mountain.

Splashing through glacier fed spring water, short rock climbs, rope assisted climbs (even up a small waterfall!), ladder climbs, tight squeezes, very tight squeezes and tons of amazing calcite formations from stalagmites, stalactites, straw formations, drapery formations, cave pearls.....all very cool. We were the first guests in the cave this year and were even treated to the sight of hibernating Daddy Long Legs Spiders . Highly recommend this caving tour experience.

I had always thought about checking out what the Cody Caves tours were all about. This dated back…read moreto over 20 + years ago when I had lived in Nelson BC for a short period, but never managed to make the time. Well today was the day and boy what a fantastic experience it was! There are a variety of levels for their cave tours depending on what you want to experience and how long you would like to spend in the caves. Reservations must be made ahead of time in order to secure your spots on the tour. Once booked, they will email you information on how to get there along with most everything you will need to know before you go. We chose the family tour which takes you about 300 meters into the cave. This tour is a great introduction to caving for anyone feeling apprehensive or claustrophobic. In terms of attire, definitely bring a change of shoes and socks as you will trek through many wet parts of the cave and past an underground waterfall. Long pants that do not constrict movement and range when your climbing over rock formations is recommended. I had a T-shirt and shorts and was totally fine in the 5 degree temperature. Most may prefer long pants for warmth and additional protection for your legs if you accidentally stumble. In the event you wear shorts, pack bug spray for when you hike to the caves from the park parking lot at the top. The road entrance leading to the caves from the highway is a 10 km-ish dirt forestry road. You do not need a 4x4 or truck to drive it. In fact two people from our tour group drove up in a Mazda 3 front wheel drive vehicle. The initial 2.5 km may appear a bit intimidating at first, but the rest of the route is smooth sailing. You should allow 30 minutes to get yourself from the highway entrance to the Cody Caves Provincial Park parking lot. If you start your trek up about an hour before you tour start time, you will less likely run into traffic flowing the opposite route (from previous tours). Something you will want to avoid as the road is narrow and would require you to back up to an area passable in the road. Once you arrive at the top and meet your guide, they will walk you through your adventure ahead and show you on a map where you will be going. After setting ever one u on with gloves, helmet and head lamp. You begin a short hike (20 minutes or so) up a couple hundred meters to the cave entrance. From that point you will be in for an amazing and memorable adventure! Our guide was fantastic! This was his 7th season as a guide for Cody Caves and he was incredibly knowledgeable and informative throughout the entire tour. The one cool thing that you do not notice is that there is absolutely no light coming in to the caves from outside in only 5 minutes into your trek. It's incredible how much your group's' headlamps fill the caverns during your trek in the caves. Depending on the pace of your tour group, you should allow about 2 hours from your scheduled start tine to return back to your vehicle from the caves (sometimes previous group may be slower return back to the tour cabin too) so allow yourself time if you had any plans following your tour adventure. Cody Cave tours is definitely a must do on your list especially if you plan to pass by Ainsworth. We will definitely return to check out their other style of tours the next time we are back in the Kootenays.

Very nice. The second tour guide disagreed, saying their names are Big Sister, Middle Sister and Little Sister. I found this was repeated on Wikipedia ... and is there any higher authority? Why, yes, the lady at the Canadian Tourist Information Kiosk, who said the locals, the real people who live here, refer to the Three Sisters as Beebee, Ceecee and Deedee. So, what's in a name? The Three Sisters, by any name, are Beautiful and Exhilarating. Five-Stars.

I booked the full day tour for Valentine's Day and it was honestly the best decision I could have…read moremade. They picked us up in front of our hotel and drove us out to BC where Dave personally guided us through the tour. I have a fear of heights and yet they patiently worked with me to make that 7000ft drive up and down. And the scenery was absolutely magical! Additionally they were very accommodating, providing ski suits and other winter gear necessary to protect us on the tour! We really enjoyed our snowmobiling tour and can't forget the delicious lunch provided At Dawns Diner! The burger was juicy and flavorful and so was the chicken and tomato bisque! Once the tour was over, they drove us right back to our hotel doors in Banff! I personally cannot wait to come back and go in this tour again!
