While visiting Tarragona, my friend and I wanted to stop by a bakery and found Panishop which is just outside the market.
You can order inside and eat outside or inside and there is an upstairs area as well with additional seating and restrooms.
The people who helped us were very helpful and friendly, trying to translate 'anise' for us before we found out that it's the same in English (haha, just a spice we hadn't heard of).
We tried a donut, the anise pastry, and a chocolate-filled pastry. This may sound weird but the donut looked fake, like the frosting was so perfect it didn't look real! Tasted amazing. The anise pastry reminded us of biscotti.
I got a chai tea latte, which was yummy- just a little confused on the glass choice since it was a hot drink. And my friend tried the cafe au lait.
