We drove 300 km to come here, based on a rave review from our friend who is from Bari. The product is excellent- you will eat well. Unfortunately, be prepared to be verbally abused and berated by Lisa at the counter and the owner's wife at the cash register while you do so. My husband, father in law, children and I had to physically walk out of the store, and could still hear the owner's wife screaming at us from all the way down the street! My husband was ready to call the police due to the owner's wife aggressive and abusive manner, especially in front of our children. What started it all? My family and I spent 60€ on takeaway focaccias, and asked for a bag so as to not have to carry it all in our arms. The owner's wife berated us for having had the nerve to ask for a bag, screaming about costs of bags. We offered to pay for the bag, and she yelled at us to never come back. I still don't understand it. Funnily enough, another woman purchased about 7€ worth of food- and they gave her a bag, free! Prior to us buying our food, we heard her berate an elderly man for not having exact change for his order. Absolutely absurd!! Ah, and the bathroom is disgusting- pee all over the floor, no toilet paper, no lock. read more
