The Stockton Panera is horrible. They messed up on the online order for 8 people. There were items missing. The delivery person said he did not want to go back to get them and bring them. He just said to call for refund. The bread were just dumped in the bag, it was old they felt like brick. The sandwiches looked like they were put together in a hurry. Don't order from stockton. This location only gets an additional star because of the service from a staff member named Stella! I'm not sure if she's new, but she could've been because her name tag didn't look official (yet). She was kind and immediately acknowledged me as soon as she seen me in sight. I appreciate that type of service a lot. A mishap happened with my card so I had to go to the bank. I left for maybe 10 minutes then came back. At first I didn't have any rewards, but then all of a sudden I had a reward for a free You Pick 2! That was pretty dang awesome, but a bit of bummer considering that I left to the bank! The food was ehh. My Caesar salad could've been a little better as it was a bit soggy and that was not appealing. The chicken on my sandwich looked a little pink and although I'm sure it was cooked, it still looked nasty. I assumed it was supposed to be hot since the sandwich was toasted, but the chicken was still a bit cold! Bleh.. I only come here when I'm in the area. This is the closest healthy-ish place to grab lunch before work. They frequently forget parts of my order, bread-chips-apple-cutlery-straw-dessert... sometimes I get the wrong entree.. but mostly I've just let that slide. Today however, I'm in a rush, I have just enough time to run through a drive thru for a ready made salad. The lady tells me to go park in front of the building and wait for my food. I only ordered a ready made salad and a tea. This is dumb. I park where she tells me and am almost hit by three cars zooming in behind and in front of me.. this is not an ideal parking lot. I turn the engine off and my food is brought to me. Why couldn't we do that at the window? Dumb. And of course, my bread is missing. read more

So glad they finally opened up a Panera near UOP! The closest one before was by 8 mile road, and that's always too much of a drive to get salad. For convenience, there's a drive thru! or if you're really in a hurry, you can order online and pick up. Since the location is still new, everything here looks very modern and clean. They have machines for you to self order instead of waiting in line for a cashier (would be extremely convenient when there's a long line). I believe they just opened this week, so it wasn't too busy when i arrived at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. For their "Pick 2" combo, you can choose two of the following: a salad or half of a panini sandwich, or soup or a side dish, like mac and cheese, and a side of: apple, chips, or bread. You can't really go wrong with anything on your menu, it's purely based on your preference in food. As for drinks, i'd recommend trying their green tea! The food taste wise did not taste as great as the other locations i've been to, but i'm giving it the benefit of the doubt assuming these people are new hires. Overall, extremely glad I have another place for semi-healthy eating other than Boudin's on Pacific Avenue! Will be back real soon read more

Panera has a classic bakery menu, and its bread is so satisfying, but this location wasn't the best I've been to. A few homeless people and a woman asking for donations were right outside. Walking in and looking at the menu, I was surprised to find that while Panera bakes bread bowls, they don't sell clam chowder! To me, those two go hand in hand--Panera's certainly missing out on a huge sale opportunity! I ended up ordering their spicy thai salad; the food took a while to arrive, but they did bring it out to my table. The dressing was the highlight of the meal, and it arrived with a small side of bread. read more

I went into this Panera again last week because I was out by the mall, so i thought i would give it another try. Tbe cashier was very nice but the dinning area was horrible. The tables were dirty, they had crumbs all over, dirty dishes, old cups and left over food. The place where you take your dirty dishes was so over filled with dirty dishes that you could not put anything there. It took a little over 20 min to get my food and the place was not busy. There was staffing but it just didn't look like anyone there cared if the place was clean and in order. I received an online survey the next day and let them know everything I just put. This review is for the post service I received from the Pacific Ave Manager named Wendy. I'm a couple of miles out from Panera and thought I'd make clam chowder for dinner and was in need of bread bowls so i called it in, with a few more items; it was my first time using this location for pickup. i got there and the pick up was uneventful; until i got home a few miles further north and found that i was missing an order of the bread bowl (ordered two sets and only got one). this kind of messed up dinner plans and preps because i needed 4 of the bread bowls. Had to adjust, give up my bbowl and hope that someone else don't want one (which sucks). anyway, i called the store and spoke to the manager, told her the situation and asked for a refund on the one of the bowl breads. i know its not much $ but if i let this go, i dont know if this is a habitual incident that would recur to somebody else or a check and balance system needs to be put in place. i dont want to see another store close up because of poor local support based on the store's service. i was told by the manager that she couldnt do the refund because it was already late in the afternoon and will have to do it tomorrow morning. i asked that i be called when the refund was completed to confirm. Sure enough the next morning, around 9am i got a conformation call from the Store Manager. All throughout the encounter, the Store Manager was respectful and accommodating and did what she said she will do. Would I order pickup again from this Panera Store? For sure, knowing that there's a Manager at this restaurant who is doing her job focusing on doing right correcting wrongs. Nowadays, society needs more of this kind of people in the service industry. Her dedication is definitely appreciated ! read more

The food I received was prepared well and came out quickly. However, I cannot give my money to a business whose employees cannot see past the color of a persons skin. The older white woman working the drive through handed me my food and smiled but before I could drive off she says, "Stay Safe and stay away from people like that" as she shook her head and pointed in the direction down the street where a group of peaceful protesters held up their #blacklivesmatter #icantbreathe signs They were not shouting or anything this was before the chaos at the mall I couldn't even get words out before driving away but I've thought about it all day after it happened. The cost is a bit pricey but isn't everything these days? The food was really good though, especially their soups and their breads. Everything seems to be fresh and tastes homemade. Their sauce on the flat bread tastes like no others pizza sauce. Most places we have eaten at ( even if they're pricey) seems to be old and stale tasting. Where to start - was going to order from the fast lane kiosk but no numbers were there to take with you. Then waited for a few minutes before anyone showed up at the counter. When they did appear, they were in the middle of texting. I patiently waited. Then they were out of roasted turkey for the sandwich I requested. In the middle of my order, the cashier left to go put numbers at the Fast Lane Kiosks after another customer asked were the numbers were. Now I'm sitting at a table that needs cleaning. I am at this location at least a few times a week as I work nearby and I have a Panera coffee subscription. I've never had any complaints on either the food or the service. As a vegetarian I have plenty of options and their app is very user friendly. I finally took the time to review though, because of my last 2 visits. While I can say I've never had any trouble with their customer service, they have a new manager that is extremely helpful and friendly and has brought a breath of fresh air to the place! I wish I could remember his name, but to all of you who have complained of the lack of customer service I'd give it another chance! He walks out to the curbside pickups himself and actually took the time to re pour my 2 iced coffees today because I was caught up at work and they sat too long and the ice was starting to melt. Whoa! Night and day difference from the Panera on Trinity Parkway in North Stockton. Every time I come to this location (maybe 5-6 times so far) there is one cashier, it takes forever to order, and they've gotten my order wrong three times. As I'm writing this, one employee delivered the wrong soufflé. How hard can it be? They're pre-made and labeled. You literally just have to pick it up and bring it to the customer. Then we're told they're out of what we ordered when I just saw enough of them behind the counter ‍ Then the employee just shrugs it off like it's not a big deal. I expect this at fast food restaurants but not at Panera. What else? Brought us plastic forks because all the silverware was dirty. Burnt my daughter's brioche bun. Oh and the wi-fi is unbelievably slow. What am I paying for again? The coffee was decent. Whoever is in charge please get rid of the person who manages this location. I ordered 2 (two) soups & sandwiches and 1 order of Chicken Noodle Soup & of course they forget order of chicken noodle soup. I attempted to contact them, but the phones do not ring at all(?). I ordered through Uber Eats. Had a toasted beef and cheese sandwich, ate it for an early lunch at the hotel. Very good sandwich. Also ordered a Spicy Thai Chicken Salad, which I brought on the airplane for the flight Stockton to JFK. The salad was incredibly delicious, just the right blend of spice. Nice job Panera! read more

Always disappointed when I use the mobile app to order. They constantly substitute ingredients without telling you. I'm trying to watch my calories and they gave me CHIPS! I don't eat chips. Of course I was home before I realized their mistake. Too late to do anything. And this isn't the first time this has happened. Last week I wanted to order a salad and the app said they were out of lettuce! How can a place which is known for it's salads be out of lettuce? First time going to Stockton location and i was suprised it had been a busy Sunday night and the place was extremely calm , clean and not over crowded like everywhere else it was a very relaxing environment. The drive through girl taking orders was incredibly rude! And then I had to wait an extra 20 minutes after telling her what I car I was in. And after that they forgot half of my order. I honestly do not recommend Stockton Panera bread. They need better managers and workers. read more

I want to give this location a 5-star review but they fumbled my order so badly that I just can't forgive them and I am not sure I want to go give them the opportunity to do it again. The staff was kind and courteous and it may be that I showed up an hour before it closed, so perhaps they were through. My delicious salad had a multitude of soft, wilted fruit that was browning and quite frankly, disgusting. I picked out a few pieces of OK strawberry fruit but much of it was mushy and over-ripe with a texture that made me regret having spent so much money for a "healty" meal. I was a fool to assume that just because I had a great experience with Lodi Panera, Stockton should be just as good. WRONG! I can highly recommend Lodi's Panera, but at this time I wouldn't trust this location if I were you. read more

Our food has been wrong too many times at this place. It can't be that difficult to sub spinach for the mixed greens, or the other requests made. Today, my husband bought me a salad with no dressing. He came home with it and it was wet and the lettuce was brown. I called and spoke with a nice man who said to bring it in for a replacement. I got there and said it was not appetizing and I'd like a sandwich instead. He said he threw the bag of lettuce out because it was a bad bag. (Hopefully this helped others ordering romaine today). He didn't charge me for the sandwich, but he also didn't refund me for the original salad. The salad was also $3 more than the sandwich. I could have at least been refunded the difference. I get to work with my order and there was only a small salad and baguette in the paper bag and no soup. I spent $19 on a small friggn salad and a small friggn smoothie. Since this Panera has opened, I've been here about 10 times since it has a really good study environment. The past 9 times the service has been great! The kiosks are very convenient and the waiters/waitresses that bring out the food are very kind. Ian always recognizes me and greets me when I order at the front counter. Their service is the only reason why I'm giving 3 stars. I mentioned in my last review about the manager (filipino woman with short hair) being rude as she unlocked the front door at 6am. Today I had another bad experience with her. As I was leaving the restaurant I realized that I didn't have my keys with me, so I went to the front counter to ask and see if anyone had returned them. She happened to be working on a task at the register, so I went up to her and asked if anyone had dropped off some keys. She looked up at me and said "nobody dropped off any keys" without even checking the lost and found. I found that extremely unprofessional and rude again. I waited in line again to speak to Ian because I know he is kind and would check for me and LOW AND BEHOLD my keys were in the lost and found! I hope someone shows her this review so she can get her first lesson about customer service. read more

I love that Panera offers rockin' salads. I don't like it when they forget the hard boiled eggs on not one but two green goddess salads. I love Panera but this location never gets my orders right. 8 out of 10 times, either they don't give me chips and instead give me an apple, or the bread is wrong on my sandwich or dressing is missing from my salad. Management needs to be changed. I like the convenience of the drive thru but I'd rather go to the Panera off 8 mile. Moral of the story, always check your order before leaving! read more
