You can tell this place is an institution good because virtually all swathes is Buenos Aires come here, from fancy ladies on their way to or coming back from concerts to Argentine hipsters taking advantage of the strong wifi with their laptops. The place is quite old, I think it was founded sometime in the 1920s, but I could be misremembering. Nevertheless, the decor and architecture is certainly of that time. To be fair - I have never been to France, but it's what I imagine it would be. All of the displays in the front window, the back wall, and the cold items in the case by the register are all meticulously put together to draw in anyone and everyone. What I most enjoyed about this place is that the owner changes things and implements suggestions from clients to meet the demand of the neighborhood (or those who order food delivery). Not only are there sweet options, but there are savory options, and even lunch items to select from. Everything looks fresh and the attention to detail is impeccable. I'm a fan of the chocolate chip cookies, the challah (SO GOOD), and the croissants. I really don't think you could go wrong with whatever you buy though. Check it out!

The restaurant itself seems very popular, and always appears to be well-patronized when I pass by. I'll be back to try one of the nicely showcased pastries.
