This was my first time here, I've had it bookmarked for a while. I met my friend for coffee at 8:30 a.m. on a Friday morning. When I arrived there was one table open in the front and several open in the back. We wanted indoors because we were both going to be working during coffee and convo. When I walked to the back I noticed it was a little smoky in the dining area and smelt like fried food. So I went back to the front and grabbed a two-seater table. That smokey smell gives me instant headaches, and gets all in your clothes and fresh washed hair. And that's exactly what it did They may need better ventilation in the kitchen and find a way for the kitchen smoke to escape and not go into the dining area. Anywho, We both ordered at the counter. I ordered the horchata chai latte with a shot of espresso. I also got the breakfast taco. The horchata chai was super sweet, So I don't think I'll order that again. The breakfast taco was good but didn't have a lot of flavor without the added hot sauce. The hot sauce does have some spice kick, so if you can't handle spice you've been warned I liked it! This is such a cute location and everyone was friendly. I don't know if I'll go back only because of the Smoky smell coming from the kitchen and staying on your clothes and in your hair. They do have outdoor dining, So that is definitely an option for the spring days ahead.

I came here with friend to catch up and it was my first visit. There was a Galentine's Party scheduled, so we wanted to plan it around that as well. It was pretty busy for a Friday even before the event was scheduled to start. A very cute set up, but we only saw the setup; I'm not sure where the notes were. We ordered our items and were so glad to snag a seat inside; because it was still cold out. We tried the berry latte and the cherrylicious latte. They were about $8.50 for a 16oz, iced. They were very sweet, which I like but not sure I would go back for. They also have flights available for the valentines drinks that cost $25. I ordered the blueberry muffin and my friend had a breakfast taco. It was pretty good. It looks like a go to spot for many, which says a lot because there were other shops nearby. I love the setup and would go back to try something differently. Maybe the matcha? The line can get a little long, but it's mostly because they are taking time to walk you through the menu which I appreciate.

My first time here, I ordered the breakfast tacos and a horchata latte. The tacos were pretty good, but a little bland. The latte was better. It was pretty unique, but also fairly sweet. It's a nice little spot in downtown Georgetown, with a patio outback for outdoor seating. I think I'll give it another try, especially to try out their Mexican cheesecake.

Came here on a Saturday and was able to get a table for a group of 5 easily. I loved the matcha horchata - it tasted more on the horchata side which was 10/10 for me, not sure if I'd recommend if you're wanting more of a matcha flavor. The uno crepe was good but nothing special.

Very aesthetic little café with a cozy vibe. I ordered the Horchata Matcha and a croissant with cream cheese and strawberry. The matcha was decent, definitely on the sweeter side, but I couldn't really taste the horchata. The croissant would have been much better if it was warmed up, but still tasty overall. I ordered to-go but ended up enjoying it outside the shop. There's street parking available, and a laundromat next door adds some extra parking spots. The area is quiet, with several seats both inside and outside. My total came out to $12.50 with tip, which feels reasonable for the experience. Very friendly workers.

I really enjoyed this spot! The location is not very big, so you may have to wait for a table. You order first, then you get a number and have to find a table. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It had very cute and "Pueblo" style decor. The staff was super friendly and accommodating! Lattes: I got the horchata matcha latte and my husband got the Dulce de leche latte. He didn't dislike his, he just didn't find it to be that flavorful. I enjoyed my matcha however the cinnamon that they put in there had clumped up a bit and some sips were all cinnamon which was a little off putting. Mexican cheesecake: it was okay. You can tell it was made from scratch and I appreciate the "artistry" (so to speak) that goes into that. But I didn't love it and probably wouldn't get it again. Chilaquiles: my husband got this and thought it was okay. There was an option to add chicken and he definitely should have. It was really just chips, salsa, and one egg. Cowboy toast: this was soooo good. Presentation was so appetizing and I really enjoyed it. Very filling, which I wasn't expecting. My only critique is that the avocado spread could have been enhanced with a tad bit of seasoning. The sauce on top did a great job of bringing everything together but any pieces without it and just the avocado, you could kind of tell. Overall we enjoyed this restaurant and will probably be back! We'll likely try some other things from their menu (but still getting the Cowboy toast for sure).

Nutella crepe

A new breakfast spot in Georgetown with authentic crepes, breakfast tacos, and chilaquiles? Yes, please! Cute, small shop near the Square serving up delicious crepes, pastries, and hot breakfast items. The Nutella and fruit crepe was absolutely amazing and the breakfast taco was delightfully filled with delicious eggs, potatoes, and bacon - all in a fresh warm tortilla. Seating is limited inside but they do have patio seating outside if the weather is nice. New breakfast spots are always welcome in this area. I really appreciated their service, unique menu, and delicious breakfast. Definitely one to check out if you're visiting the Square.

Never noticed this place as many times I pass through here. It's connected to a small boutique with some cool items. It's indoor and outdoor seating. The chairs and tables are unique in their own. So we tried quite a few things this trip. I had the horchata latte and the dulce de leche latte. Both solid choices. The staff recommended them and said they are the popular items on the menu. The tacos were awesome. Though the tortillas are sourced from a torteilla, they were really good. The different pastries we tried all were immaculate. The concha was my favorite. I'd definitely recommend trying this place out for your next morning coffee and pastry! Thanks for a great first impression!

First visit was a great experience. The coffee is so good! It's super clean in the cafe and great vibes, & customer service. Can't wait to come back!

Iced Pistachio latte and a pumpkin drink

Stopped by Pan Tostado Café for the first time a few weekends ago with a friend. The line was long but moved quickly, and the staff were super helpful. I got the iced pistachio latte and omg it was insanely good. I've been craving it ever since! I'll definitely be back soon, especially because they were low on pastries that day and the rest of the menu looked amazing. The shop itself is small and pretty busy, with a couple of seats out front, but I love seeing a Hispanic-owned coffee spot thriving.

I ordered to go, I got the avocado toast. I loved the feta and everything about it, do yourself and eat it right away. The bread is so good, also got a cheesecake plain it was good not my fave but the quality is there. Last was a Cafe de olla which is hard to find up here, def coming back the place is so cute and I love the little store next door. The service all around was helpful, nice. Thank you guys

Im new to the area so ive been trying all the coffee shops! I can across this one and loved the vibe when I walked it, it very cozy and not loud and hectic like most coffee shops I've been to. It looks small from the outside but have a good amount of seating and a cute "backyard" seating area too. It's nice that they not only have coffee and pastries but also small breakfast meals! The host was very friendly and the cashiers next door at the boutique shop were also super nice too! They had cute clothes, jewelry and home decor. Def wanna come back and try the pastries or food!

Stopped by today on Father's Day and expected the place to be packed, but alas, it's not mother day and we dads kinda get ripped off... But what I was treated to was a delicious light breakfast that hit every spot in my belly!! We ordered the pesto and burrata toast and the avocado toast with egg. WOW! The burrata/pesto toast was absolutely delicious! Great tasting pesto that wasn't to hot with delicious soft burrata. Topped with fresh ripe tomatoes and drizzled with chili crisp. The Avocado toast was even better! The smashed avocado was perfection, the lightly fried egg was fantastic with a slightly runny orange yolk. I added some of the chili crisp from the other toast onto it as well as a tomato. Fan-TAS-tic! Both on lightly grilled crusty bread. Service was great and the coffee although not as hot as last time was good. I can't recommend this place any higher, but it deserves more stars..

The problem was the hostess that walked by and completely ignored us, offering nothing but a disgusted look. The bartender finally noticed the 6 of us and immediately squawked: "we're closed!!!" I don't expect a lot, but a little customer service goes a long way. How about "hi folks, we are actually closed but come back anytime before 7:30pm." Or maybe even a 'Closed' sign, so as not to upset the employees. Terrible first impression. No desire to go back.

Normally I wouldn't recommend eating at the golf course restaurant, but there are some great…read moreadvantages of coming here. First off, they accommodate large groups of people. We had 13 people in our party. We had made a reservation in advance. They had setup several long tables together in the enclosed patio area. The patio is enclosed with floor to ceiling glass wall panels that allow you to enjoy seeing the outdoors without experiencing it when it's hot and humid outside. The wall panels actually slide to open, so you can take advantage of nice weather during the two weeks of year when it actually occurs in Texas. Unfortunately for us, it was August and hot and one of the panels was off its track and couldn't be closed all of the way. We asked to be moved. Staff quickly found two large rectangular tables that were horizontal to each other. We weren't all able to sit together, but we were close enough and now inside instead of being exposed to the heat. The big draw to this place is on the outside patio. The community has built a model train track and a model of the City of Georgetown which it travels around. The train only runs on certain days and at certain times, but even when it isn't in operation, you can checkout this masterpiece. It has a fence around it to protect it from being touched, but you can still get close up to it to see the details and the action. There are several buttons placed at intervals on the fence that activate areas of the "town". One plays and Elvis song on the loudspeaker for all to hear while your attention is drawn to a tiny stage where a miniature Elvis belts out the tune and swivels his hips while a crowd in front of the stage goes wild. One of the buttons is actually the old-time speaker that you would place in your car at an actual drive-in movie theater. When you press this button, a screen in the town plays a movie. You can see cars lined up in a lot to view it. There is so much more to see and enjoy and the organizers are continually maintaining and adding to the town's features. The restaurant has a varied American menu to please a wide range of midwestern palettes. I went for the classic chicken fried steak, and got to choose two sides. The hit spiced apple slices were reminiscent of TV dinners of old, and the fried okra never disappoints. Everyone's food at table one came out at the same time, except for mine. I assumed that it didn't fit in the tray and would be out with table two. When it didn't materialize, I had to wait and watch as everyone else enjoyed their meals. It was an understandable mistake since there were two of us who ordered the chicken fried steak. Someone in the kitchen probably didn't see the "2x" on the order slip or thought if it had been written twice, it might have been a mistake. Anyway, I didn't have to wait long. The staff were quick to adjust and make things happen when slight inconveniences like this happened. There is a full bar with counter seats for patrons wanting to watch the game while enjoying a cold one. It's near the door and sheltered from the patio dining areas so that those areas can have a more elevated dining experience without having to fight for attention and yell over a TV. I would happily come back here again just to checkout the train and any improvements the group has made to the city artwork. I wouldn't hesitate to grab a bite to eat too.

I think Chicken…read moreFried Steak is an item that has kept the people of the Southern United States together regardless of interests, jobs, intelligence, and opinions. It is a unifying meal of blue-collared and white-collared people alike. It is a food that unifies the vast cultures of the south. There is no debate when there is a Chicken Fried Steak. Soul food and southern food are so severely important to people who were raised in the south because the overall feeling of those cuisines is that it feels like their Grandma is cooking dinner. Now if you look at my Yelp profile picture for a fraction of a second and maybe stereotype a little, you can accurately assume that my Grandma's cooking would fit in the latter and you would maybe wonder if my grandmother knows what seasoning is. If you have had her chili, you would say no. The famous Texan Cafe & Pie Shop in Hutto is a classic Southern diner that is always a perfect pick-me-up meal and is a truest staple of the area. When I first visited Hutto before moving I looked for places to try, and the abundant and sheer quantity of reviews for Texan Cafe made it clear that I had to try it. That was just over a year ago, and I still remember parking my car in the lot across the street and walking into the cozy diner with wood chairs and booths, red tablecloths, and so much decor on the walls it might be a museum, and I felt right about moving to Hutto. I was seated immediately and almost instantly ordered the Chicken Fried Steak smothered with white gravy, of course, with sides of Fried Okra and Mashed Potatoes. It was not long before the beautiful plate hit my table, and I destroyed everything on that plate. When I thought it was over, I was handed the dessert menu that was two full rows worth of pie and other options. I was mesmerized by the length of it and was overwhelmed by the options. I texted my parents to tell them and suddenly I was going back to San Antonio with slices on slices worth of pie for them to have. When my parents came up to help move me in, they wanted to go to the Texan. They were impressed with how great the meal was alongside the pies. Pies that they bought extra of to take back with them to San Antonio. When I started my job, the first meal they took us new hires to was the Texan. I tried their Blue Plate Special and found out that Chicken Fried Pork Chops exist and fell in love with that. When my brother came and visited meeting my parents and me in Hutto, we went to the Texan. We enjoyed their appetizers and everyone had to have a slice of pie. Options for everyone. When a friend came and visited, she took a solo trip to the Texan while I was at work then told me she took the best nap of her life after. My buddy and I decided to go randomly one day after work to try their Hot Pie with Brandy Sauce. That thing is a tank and is worth a visit to try alone. What a sweet creation. When my girlfriend visited me in Hutto, I took her to the Texan and she will randomly text me about how much she misses the pie. I try to get her a slice every time she comes and visits. It is her favorite thing. It is clear to see why it is a favorite to so many because everyone I have taken to the Texan has left a fan wanting to come back. I brought my grandparents home a full Blueberry pie from the Texan Cafe which my grandma told me "was the best I have even since I was a little girl. Not too sweet with a great crust. Just right. A blueberry pie is my favorite." I know this review is less of a review and more of a collection of vignettes of many stories built inside the walls of the Texan Cafe, but that is what is so beautiful about southern hospitality and southern diners. That is why there is so much decor about the extensive history of Texan Cafe and the culture of Hutto on the walls. I went back this afternoon for the first time in a short while, but I find myself continuously impressed by the quality of the food, the efficiency as a whole, and just how welcoming everyone is inside. Their pies are just truly next level. Today, I went for the Chicken Fried Pork Chop Blue Plate Special which is truly heaven sent, potato salad, fried okra, and a slice of their cherry pie. It is a meal you feel blessed to eat and a restaurant you love supporting because of it. Every pie I have had at the Texan is better than any other pie I have eaten. They could be a full time bakery and still be the monument of Hutto. It just happens they have food that warms your heart too. RIYL: Grandma's cooking if it was not dry
