We were a little…read morefed up with stopping and starting at each drop off point and, on the last trip, some idiot took my case and we had to wait a couple of days to retrieve it. So, this time we booked a private taxi with this fantastic company and its two drivers sent to pick us up. On arrival at Dalaman the driver was waiting for us and at the hotel the driver arrived ten minutes early and got us to the airport in a quick time giving us quite a few extra hours in Oludeniz. On both trips the driver stopped and bought us each a bottle of water and, on the final trip, an ice cream cone. A nice touch and very much appreciated. I cannot say any more about this company and its drivers, they are totally brilliant and, in future, will be using this company for airport transfers. Did a day trip along the river to the Dalyan mud baths and had an overall great experience! You…read morehave to ride boats to access all the stops but along the way there's a lot happening. Winding back and forth between high grass, stopping by blue crab boat vendors that steam freshly caught crabs on the stop. Pass the ancient Byzantine ruins of Kisebuku all before making your way to the baths. The mud baths itself was fun. Large outdoor setting between the mountains and rivers. The mud was fun and the hot spring nice and warm but with stench of rotten eggs! (the sulfur from the natural springs) The last stop was a floating restaurant with a large dock on the river. Got to enjoy a delicious sunset dinner after an exciting yet relaxing day. Fun for all ages and a great day trip to experience!

Bodrum's airport is super small. It is no hassle getting in or out, and security moves very…read morequickly. If you want to get to the city by bus, look for the large white buses with the word "Havas." This is only 10 lira, which is way cheaper than a cab, and probably just as quick. If you are departing from Bodrum, the central bus station runs Havas buses to the airport exactly 2 hours before the departure of Turkish airlines flights (can't speak for Pegasus flights, but it may be the case also). The airport has a few cafes, but it is really no frills.

Arrivals downstairs. Come off the plane and walk for miles along the empty marble floored hall, which looks like rippling water. Perhaps the architect's intention. Big queue to get your visa checked and your passport stamped. If you get to the front of the queue and haven't got a visa already (online from the Turkish government website) then you have wasted half an hour of your time, and have to do the walk of shame to the separate visa counter, then back into the queue. Better hope that another plane hasn't come in behind you. Departures on the first floor. Big queue to get into the terminal as they x-ray the luggage before you can even nip in for a wee. Big queue to check in. Big queue to go through security. Big queue for the café. On a Sunday morning there is only one place open. And there is only one guy serving. Working like billy-o, with a couple of sidekicks helping, but still only one man, one till. Small queue to get your boarding pass checked. Some people get a security check as well. Then a lady checks your boarding pass against your passport. Then two guys check your boarding pass. Then a big queue to actually board the plane and guess what? Have your boarding pass ready.

There is a newer building and that is the Venus Suite Hotel, but you all have the same pools, the same breakfast, the same lobby and public areas. The building for the Suite Hotel just looks newer and swankier, but honestly I like the homey feel of the older Venus Hotel. The staff is super friendly. They'll drop you off at the ruins/salt baths whenever you need. They are very chill about rules - we got there very early on a Tuesday and were leaving at 5 am the next day, so when they realized this they said we could have breakfast that first day. Another couple had the check our time wrong and they were fine with that. It feels very family run. Our Booking.com confirmation email said our room was 40€, but they hadn't charged anything to our credit card (they said that sometimes people show up and they just don't charge anything - they just don't take any credit card info from Booking.com). They charged us 60TL for our room, which comes out to only 20€! There are two pools, each about 12m long (I'm a swimmer; estimating). The robes they provided were really really soft; it was nice to wrap yourself in this after taking a swim. The pool is very cold! They also have a shower/bathroom off the lobby, useful if you arrive before check-in. Breakfast was a decent layout: cereal, some baked goods/breads, small local Apple's/oranges, a few cheese/meat options, yogurt and Jams, butter and hazelnut chocolate. It was the usual fare. The tea was very over steeped. CONS: The Wi-Fi was very very spotty. I could barely get it in our room and only in a small area in the lobby. We had lunch here and it was pretty bad; the kofte was tasteless and dry, and my clay pot chicken was bland. They don't take credit card, only cash.

Everything needs to be updated and I mean everything. This includes the bedding drapes bathrooms and wifi is incredibly slow. The breakfast was disappointing with most items not at all appetizing. This includes both the hard boiled eggs and even the fruit. The best item was the coffee cake. That was really all I could eat. All this being said, the staff is friendly and you can tell they are trying their best!

They have a Sauna, Pool, Massage area, and a pretty good restaurant that is attached to the hotel. The bed was a little small and uncomfortable but I'm 208m that's understandable it might be good enough for you lol. Just know also there is a train that comes by at random times even through the night.
