If i could write a zero star review, i totally would. So we drop off my dog, and its her first time at the groomers, i understand that she would be nervous and scared and move around a lot getting nics and cuts. But this was a little severe cut and they didnt even tell us when they knew about it! My dog was bleeding all over the car and we had to run back and ask for paper towel, and apparently my boyfriend told me the girl was mumbling saying "we forgot to tell you she has a cut" like seriously?? Shouldnt you be telling us before you hand her over ? My dog was crying so much in the car due to the pain. I will never come back to this establishment, i was very skeptical at first, but my boyfriend wanted to go bc VCA biglake was handing out their cards so he just assumed there was a good reason they were handing them out. This place is at a house and it just didnt look right to me, they had big dogs in the fence running around and small dogs looking out the window, just dogs everywhere there was also an rv on the side of the house. And they seemed so poorly ran..fair warning to dog owners check your dogs before you leave..because they will just send your dog without disclosing this kind of information. I really hope my dog does not have an infection from this, trying my best to make her feel comfortable. If i need to take my dog to the vet, i am definitely going to be charging the bill to them!! Another thing is that they told us $80 for everything and then told us its $95 when we were coming to pick her up. My boyfriend told them he heard $80, so the woman on the phone said "if thats what you heard, then thats what you heard." In a very rude and condescending tone. Do not come here, take your pup to a better place with ACTUAL caring groomers! The proof are in the pictures!! read more

UPDATE BELOW If I could, I wouldn't leave any stars. This is the worst possible place to groom your fur babies. I dropped off my fur babies and was told my total before I picked them up and I when I got there it was completely different and more then they initially said. They don't give your fur babies back to you until you pay what they want. I saw them spraying water on the dogs that was in the small area where the boarding dogs were just to try stop them from barking. So I don't think the housing is a good idea either. My poor double coated dogs have been shaved without any permission, one of them even had to be rushed to the vet's office for emergency treatment for infection from being shaved too close. Caused trauma to our pup. The Vet noted the shave was too close, now he's on medication for the next couple of weeks. We noticed small issues in the past and should have stopped using them then and things only got worse for our pups. Our 10 month old puppy is still not quite himself after this last visit. We called to discuss our concerns with the owner and the groomers and everyone denied any issues! My pups behavior and demeanor says otherwise. We made the decision we weren't going back when they conveniently said our pups are too big now. Be weary! UPDATE (approximately three and a half months later) My fur baby is finally healing from the Trauma he Endured from this place. He was in so much pain he needed medical attention and medicine, plus he was bleeding. (Like he was skinned) His back and belly finally has a velvet feeling. His fur is growing back patchy. Also note his genitals were shaved raw to the skin and got infected and full of puss. His fur is finally starting to look like he's a Great Pyrenees again and is slowly growing back. I left my 5 month old Pup here for a few days while I was out of town. They took great care of her. She was healthy, happy, and clean when I came to pick her up. I love the fact that this is a cage free facility and the dogs get to roam and play with each other. I highly recommend Pampered Paws. read more

I've been taking our kids here for a couple of years now while traveling. Pampered Paws is reasonably priced and they're really nice.

I made an appointment for my yorkie as a new customer. The appointment was for the next Saturday so I was pleased with that. On Saturday I took Kahaleesi in for the appointment. The lady greeting me asked if I wanted her shaved or trimmed. When she said shaved I imagined it meant all her hair would be shaved off. So I said trimmed. I don't know - I'm kind of new to this. When I came back to get her she was clean and smelled good but it didn't really look like they cut any hair off. Like I said I'm new to this so I paid the bill (even left a tip) and left. About ten days later I responded to the email I received about whether I like the work or not. I explained that I didn't like it and why. I received an email back that said they would be happy to fix it, to just give them a call and set up an appointment. I called the next day, the person answering the phone said it would be a charge because I didn't call back within a week if the appointment. I tried to explain to her that I just got the email yesterday but she started yelling at me so I said forget it and hung up the phone. Very rude! I won't be going back, I guess I learned my lesson. read more

No good. I left my dog there for a long weekend against my better judgement. When I toured the home prior the staff was friendly and professional, and there was a small and large yard which was nice. The downside though was that the home stunk so bad and it was really small, especially for 10-15 dogs which was the reported average. I should have trusted my gut but our usual dog sitter was unavailable and our trip was only a few days away so I reserved for four days. When I arrived to drop off my pooch, no one was there and I had to call multiple times before the owner showed up, saying my reservation must have been overlooked. When I dropped my dog off she had her harness on because she was on a leash. The owner took the leash off her, but according to the photo took and put on Facebook and her staff when I returned, the harness stayed on the whole time which I'm sure was not comfortable. The cherry on the top though was that my dog was so smelly she needed an immediate bath and while bathing her I noticed 3 scratches about an inch long on one side of her body which looked about 2 days old. They never said anything about another dog scratching her which tells me that there is a huge lack of oversight. read more
