When we first met her for our engagement shoot the second we stepped out of the car it felt as though we've known her our whole lives. This has taken me quite some time to write. But having recently worked with an AMAZING photographer for my sons 1 year photos, I felt as though I should tell others about my experience. I reached out to Pam to shoot my sons 6 month photos. I paid $350 dollars for our session and we scheduled a date. I asked that the session be primarily about my sons 6 mo photos, but also to snap a few pictures of my husband and I with our son. Pam told me that she would contact me closer to the appointment date to let me know where to meet her. On the day of the appointment I had not heard from her. I contacted her a few hours before and she responded by cancelling the appointment due to wind ( looking back I think she may have overbooked us or forgotten our appointment time). When trying to reschedule, she told us she was so booked and didn't know where she would fit us in. When she finally found a time to "fit us in", it was a terribly inconvenient time for us due to nap time, but we were excited for the photos nonetheless. When we arrived at our appointment the first thing the photographer says to us is "thank god you guys aren't ugly! I also ways get so worried that when I book new clients they might be ugly". Terrible first impression. She followed that up by again asking what kind of photos we wanted (as if she had forgotten about what kind of session I had booked and what we had talked about previously via email). She then started photographing us and after MAYBE 20 minutes, she says it's too wet to set my son on the ground. She then suggests that we wrap up our appointment today and finish up our appointment when my son is sitting up a little better. She offered to come to my house and take photos of just him! I agreed. She told me to email her whenever he was more sturdy and she would be able to get me in within a week because her schedule was opening up as wedding season was dying down. I did just that and emailed her a few weeks later when my son had mastered sitting up, as she asked me to do. At first she did not respond for a few weeks, I emailed two or three more times and she responded by telling me she was so booked and to try back after thanksgiving. And then after Christmas. And then after the New Year. After all of this I emailed her and kindly expressed that I was disappointed in how this was being handled. 6 months for my son had come and gone and I had hardly any photos to show for it. Pam responded with a very rude and unprofessional tone telling me her time was reserved for paying customers only and she was sorry that I misunderstood what she said. I now have maybe two quality photos of just my son and then a whole bunch of family photos taken from a VERY far away angle. You can hardly see our faces. Saying I am disappointed is an understatement. Overpriced. Unprofessional. Rude. read more

Engagement pictures looked good and most of wedding pictures looked good but business side is horrible! Communication wasn't the best. Didn't give us our details for engagement pictures until a couple of days before the shoot. She emailed us a couple of months before the wedding saying she accidentally double booked our wedding day and that she was going to add 2 hours of coverage and give us her 2 assistants. She said that no money would be deducted since adding the 2 hours and giving us 2 photographers (even though they were assistants) made up for the mistake. She said the other couples wedding was out of town so she had to take that one and also said that the other couple booked 2 months before we did. Then come to find out the day of the wedding the other wedding was in town and the other couple in fact did not book 2 months before us since they got engaged after we booked her. When she was confronted about lying to us she stated that she got that couple mixed up with another one and that she's human and makes mistakes. In my opinion a professional should not be making that many mistakes when dealing with people's weddings and definitely shouldn't be making mistakes like that. Most professionals have paper calendars so they can double check dates and also would double check all details. We had a horrible experience and would not recommend to anyone. read more

I don't disagree that Pam does good work, but getting her to keep an appointment is, in my experience, impossible. We have been canceled on so many times we have lost count. And, to make matters worse, we have a contract with her, so we do not get a refund. Pam's explanation was "that's just the photography business". It may be her business, but that's not normal business. We will not be using again. Now, in Pam's defense, her assistant did make our first appointment, but the photographer she sent couldn't get my 3 year old son to smile. The only photgrapher we have ever worked with that couldn't get him to smile. We were not happy, and Pam agreed to a reschedule. That's when all of the cancelations began. My wife and I took time off of work, just to have appointments canceled as late as 15 mintued before the agreed upon time. The cancelations got to the point that it appeared she was enjoying them. I strongly encourage the use of any other photographer. Any photographer. We are using our neighbor with a camera. The only reason I gave 1 star is because 0 is not an option. read more
