Sólo Para Muñecas is a very chic beauty salon in Providencia (in between the Manuell Montt and…read morePedro de Valdivia metro). All of the hair dressers have their hair and makeup put together with that badass but totally galmorous at-the-same-time MAC type of style. Not only is this a great beauty salon to get your haircut and any other beauty need such as nails or waxing but they rock at styling. The hair dressers specialize in creating spectacular hair dos for important events - but especially known by many for their work with brides and bridal parties. They did my friends wedding as well as the wedding party and we were amazed! As soon as we walked in they made sure we had a place to sit and were offered all different types of treats to assure we were comfortable and having a good time. We were even allowed to open up a bottle of champagne to enjoy while getting our hair done. The bride got her hair done with an amazing braid and flowers intermittently place - absolutely beautiful! I think they are especially good at achieving the hairstyles you only see in fashion magazines. Another great thing about this salon is that if you are unhappy with any look (hey, sometimes it happens) you have 7 days to say you weren't happy and get another hairstyle done. If you want to come with a group of friends like we did, make sure to call and reserve in advance as this hip salon gets booked fast! It is not cheap but definitely worth it for special events.

I just had my first visit to Veranvior. This is a large and very busy salon by Chilean standards…read more I went on a Tuesday and there were numerous employees serving numerous customers. The salon is located in a beautiful historic building in the busy downtown of the commune of Providencia. For security reasons, the front door to the salon is locked and you have to be buzzed in (this is common in Chile). The owner who is also a stylist seemed very knowledgeable. They provide many different beauty services but specialize in hair color, I think. (That is what I got done.) They also seem to have a lot of business doing eyelash extensions, as I saw at least 2 different clients getting them while I was there. When I first didn't like the tone of my hair color, the particular stylist I had was not pleased and consulted the owner. (Or maybe that stylist just does not have the best bedside manner.) The owner came and fixed my hair color herself, demonstrating that she is an active, hands-on owner. The price was reasonable and exactly what they quoted me when I made my appointment, and no one gave me a hard time about paying with my credit card. I will definitely return but might try a different stylist.

Las sillas para lavar el pelo son de esas que hacen masajes en la espalda así que la experiencia de lavarse el pelo o hacerse un masaje en pelo es ultra relajante. Totalmente recomendable!

My favorite cosmetologist in Santiago! Gabriela is wonderful, she speaks both English and Spanish…read moreand worked in New York for like 10 years. She is my go to person whenever I need that last minute wax. Super reliable, professional and somehow makes getting a Brazilian wax a fun experience (even with all the pain, hehe). Her salon is super small but has everything you could want, relaxing music, comfortable, and most important super clean. When getting a wax in Chile I have found that most salons will reuse their wax on multiple clients, something I just do not see as sterile in anyway, shape or form. Gabriela is one of the few who DOES NOT follow this practice, which I personally really appreciate. She offers a variety of massage, facials, and waxes. You can contact Gabriela through email, phone, or my personal favorite send her a Whatsapp. She is so accommodating and is always able to fit you in one way or another, not surprising, she gets a lot of clients.
