Best experience I have had at any salon in Wichita! I have been getting my nails done every 4 weeks…read morefor about 18 months now. Yesterday I tried Classy Nails for the first time because they are closer to my house and work than my last last shop and because I've heard such great things. I had Maya, co-owner of Classy Nails, and wow...what a fantastic experience. I did call 2 days in advance and scheduled an appointment. Once I arrived, I waited less than 5 minutes before they took me to a station and began the process to soak off my current French dipping power manicure. There are so many things about their process that really WOWED me! 1. The soaking process - Normally when you have old polish removed they soak a cotton ball with acetone and wrap your fingers in foil. At classy nails, they prepare a bowl with warm water, place a bag on top of the warm water, and you stick your fingers in acetone to soak. This helps keep your fingers warm while the polish soaks AND I feel like it was a very effective way to take off the polish. 2. Precision in the polish - Maya was very precise when she did the dipping powder with French tips. It takes a skillful and steady hand to make these look as crisp and clean as they do. I am very impressed. 3. Customer service - From the moment I walked in the door, people were smiling, greeting me and taking me. They make it a priority not to have people, who have appointments, wait long. Also, they offer complementary beverages (soda, water, tea, etc) which I think is a nice touch! 4. PRICE - I paid $45 (before the tip) for a "full-set dip" + French. Normal dip is $40 and then there is a $5 French fee. This is $5 higher than my normal shop, but WELL worth the extra few dollars. 5. Speed - I was there for 55-60 minutes MAX. From the time I walked in, until the time I left. They were quick with everything, even though the place was SUPER busy. All this to say, PLEASE GO GIVE CLASSY NAILS A TRY!! This will become my new go to place. They even offer waxing (amen for my brows!) and other spa services.

Upon arrival I was offered refreshing detox water and given a menu to select the type of manicure and pedicure I wanted. The menu was incredible. Not only is their menu super creative, it's also all organic where they don't skimp out on the use of oranges, coffee beans, berries etc... even a plan natural pedicure feels like they are going above and beyond. Seriously, all other nail salons need to do what this spa is doing. I had such an amazing experience with my nails and toes I decided to give them a shot at my eyelashes because the woman at Eric Fisher had no clue what she was doing. The owner fixed my lashes and they look and feel great and last a long time too. Anyway, go here - try all the stuff they are amazing.

I was treated HORRIBLY when I visited there yesterday. I went in with my mother in law with a…read morespecific foundation and shade in mind. The shade we were looking for was the one used on me at my wedding and recommended by a well known and respected makeup artist. The general manager and other two women who came to help us were incredibly rude. They argued with us on the shade the entire time, and all the colors they tried on my face did not match at all (made me look pasty white). When we showed them a photo of my wedding makeup, the manager made a disgusted face. Obviously, not a big deal that we disagreed on shade, but we came in wanting a product- why argue with us? Then, she brought over 2 other women. The 3 women then went over to a corner and were very clearly whispering about me. I could hear them talking and looking in my direction. When they came over again, one of the women tried to apply a new foundation color to my face. She said she wanted me to put on my own primer and when I held out my hand to do so, she said "no". I was kind of in shock and was like what?? And then she said "you have dirt all over your hands". I was like ummm no? And then she DOUBLED DOWN and picked up my hand and was like "is that not dirt all over?" (It was most certainly not, we had been out shopping, I had not touched anything, my hands had no dirt). I said out loud, "wow that was so rude" and she just laughed it off and continued applying. We ended up leaving and going to Sephora. They were so friendly there and did a full skin scan. Lo and behold, the shade we wanted originally was recommended on the Sephora skin scan, so we were not crazy for disagreeing. Overall a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this location to anyone, and given the choice between ulta and Sephora I would choose Sephora every time now. 0 stars if I could.

Keep in mind this was in the middle of their business hours, not right at opening or at closing. I asked if I could make an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed and she said there would be a 40 minute wait (that's not what I asked). I went ahead and went in 40 minutes later, and I walked in and the lights were all off and it was completely empty except for one girl at the desk. No one was working, and there was not one customer. It felt really shady, but I went back into the wax room with her. She was nice, really friendly, but then she took a personal call. Okay, not a big deal, we was done pretty quickly. She was clearly rushed because she got a text from her boyfriends mom saying they were putting their cat down and she wanted my eyebrow lady to get ahold of her boyfriend so he could be there. Already not great. I started wondering how she could see what she was doing, because the lights were all off like I said. She only worked on my brows for maybe 5 minutes total. One strip above each brow, one below, and one in the middle. That's it. Almost no tweezing or anything. Then she handed me the mirror and I couldn't see what my brows looked like because it was dark, so I decided to trust her. She charged me $15 which is more then a lot of places that I have gotten good brow work done at. Then when I got outside and looked in the mirror in my car I was horrified. My brows were two completely different shapes, one was straight as an arrow and the other one was arched. She had waxed off a lot of the top part of one brow and a lot of the bottom part of the other one, so I couldn't even fix it. She left stray hairs EVERYWHERE, and she said she trimmed them, but they were still really long. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
