Absolutely fantastic overall experience. It has an incredible view of Marina Bay that is to die for and shows the Seattle skyline perfectly. I got the seafood trio and my girlfriend got the sake black cod, and they were both delicious! Our food came out on time and we felt well attended to during the entire experience. My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. Upon entering the restaurant, we were amazed at how beautiful it was. I mean, there's a small pond and trees inside the restaurant! The host was very friendly and even gave us a little card from Palisade that said happy anniversary. We were seated by the window with a beautiful view of the marina. We even saw a sea lion playing around. Morgan, our server, was on top of it- very friendly and helpful with the menu. Our drinks were always refilled and the food came out in a timely manner. We ordered the warm crab and lobster dip as an appetizer and wow- it was good! We asked for no capers in the dip, and unfortunately they are already baked in, so that isn't doable. It was fine and I was able to pick around them. Next we got a Caesar salad, which Morgan took upon herself to order with no capers which I thought was a great quality for a server to have and I really appreciated it! For meals, I got the filet and lobster tail. The presentation was beautiful and everything tasted great. My husband got the ribeye and he said it was cooked wonderfully. He also added on the scallops (which needed a little more sear in my opinion). They have a few infused butters for an extra $3, we tried the garlic one for our steaks and were not disappointed. We got an anniversary dessert, which was very much appreciated :) If you go here, expect to spend some money. To Restaurants Unlimited, THANK YOU for all of the work you did to curate an incredible experience for so many years. To Landry's of TX, PLEASE understand the weight of responsibility and privilege that comes with owning and running Palisades. To many, this was the best restaurant in the entire city. A top competitor with Canlis and El Gaucho. Going from the most outstanding brunch buffet you could imagine, with a seafood table, a poultry table, a robust pastry and fruit collection, chocolate fountains, craft mimosas, - to quite literally the SADDEST 5-item brunch menu I have EVER seen, was shocking and expensive to say the least. Go to 13 Coins if you take Brunch seriously. This "filet" resembled a seemingly day old cut of incredibly fatty meat. The server was great however took awhile to bring bread and the sushi was awful in my opinion because it tasted fishy I mean pungent not very good! The beet salad and Gorgonzola salad were meh! My wife and sons fish weren't that great and they said it tasted very fishy and had lots of bones! Skipped drinks and desert and i am glad I did otherwise it would have been $500 instead of $350! Palisade is one of well-known fancy restaurants in Seattle. The location is very ideal for such an awesome date and outing afterward as it is located in front of Elliott Bay Marina. It is somewhat expensive so if your budget is tight but still want to try out, I recommend you to visit during lunch hour because the price goes up significantly for dinner menu. I went for lunch with my family in a beautiful Seattle sunny weather. I made a reservation via OpenTable app and significantly asked for a table by window to be able to enjoy a great water view. Definitely worth it! We ordered Palisade prix fixe lunch with a Chef's feature seasonal entree and Dungeness crab & lobster bisque. The chef's entree was Mahi Mahi which is available limited time. Bisque was amazing and Mahi Mahi was very soft, tender, and juicy with full of flavor. A bread serving with the entree was OK - they put too much salt on butter, so I had to ask for the butter without the salt. A plenty of parking space is available in front of the restaurant. I've eaten at Palisade twice and both experiences have been absolutely wonderful. During my latest visit I was craving oysters so ordered a dozen...for myself. Being a creature of habit, I love filet mignon so ordered it both times and it's been perfectly cooked medium rare I'd also like to shout out our exceptional server Marcus, who was informative, friendly and made the visit extra special. My family took me here for my birthday dinner. Well, it was my second birthday dinner. For my first birthday dinner, I chose a place that I heard so many good things about and read so many goods things about, but just didn't live up to the hype for me. So for this birthday dinner, I was excited because I love trying new places, but didn't want to have high expectations. But oh, this place exceeded my expectations. I walked into a beautiful restaurant that was more spacious than I expected. There is a fish pond to stare at and be amused with as you wait for your table. Nice big windows with beautiful views of the water and downtown Seattle. Service was excellent; our waiter was wonderful. He helped with recommendations and patiently answered all of our many questions. We started off with the Sashimi Grade Ahi Tuna Roll and Kung Pao Calamari. Both were delicious, but everyone loved the Kung Pao Calamari, they couldn't stop talking about it. I tried the Huckleberry Pomegranate Mojito and the Quiet Storm. The cocktail menu looked so good, I wanted to try them all. It took me some time to decide what to order for dinner. I finally decided on the Palisade Seafood Trio, and it was absolutely delicious. I was worried that it would be too small of a portion and I wouldn't be satisfied, but that was not the case. Every bite was full of flavor, even all the little sides. Everyone else also loved their food, which included another seafood trio and a couple of the Roasted Black Cod. I tried the Roasted Black Cod, and that was wonderful as well. We all cleaned our plates, and continued to be amazed and how wonderful the food was. Everyone pretty much comes here for special occasions. The restaurant often hosts brunch for big holidays, with special menu items. They are really yummy and fun to attend if you can make it. I come here probably once a month and love the staff. Justin, Tom, and Xavier are stellar. They have great personalities and make what could be a stuffy experience, really enjoyable. The food was hit and miss in the past. I found out (tysm Tom) that you can swap items out with ease. This has changed the way I view having dinner here for the better. The steak is always cooked to my liking, the seafood is always fresh. The drinks are also really great but they could add to their Rum list and increase the quality. The time I had a bad experience, I ordered the Avocado Toast and it was all arugula on a place with 3 teeny tiny pieces of avocado that would've been missed if I didnt hunt them out. They were literally smaller than my pinky nail. The manager removed the item from my bill and replaced it with another order. I do not believe there is a Happy Hour but there should be one. The bar is nice, overlooking everyone and views. Great for people watching or catching up with friends. I love to share the Seafood tower and wish there were some small bites available but overall, still like everything. read more

It was my first time to Palisade and we had a wonderful experience. Both the atmosphere and view were great! Justin was our sever and he was very welcoming, friendly and professional. We ordered oysters, lamb rack and lobster. The oysters were fresh and tasted briny, and the lamb racks were cooked to the medium and nicely seasoned (though they appeared a bit overdone). The lobster meat were great though the side potatoes and asparagus were a bit dry. We also ordered 2 non-alcoholic drinks with Justin's recommendation: Lychee Lime Soda and Dragon Fizz, they were pretty good and refreshing! The staff collected some used utensils after we were done with the appetizers, and did not replace them. Justin was very attentive and brought us some new utensils before we had our entrees. It was our anniversary, and we got a complimentary small dessert from the restaurant. Such a lovely surprise! read more

What has happened to Palisade?! My family has been coming here for special occasions for the last 20+ years or so and it's one of my parents' favorite restaurants. The location and view can't be beat, the service has been top notch and the food has always been consistently good. I'm surprised I've never written a review until now! Anyway, Palisade seems to be a victim of the pandemic. We dined here the other night and SO MUCH has changed!! The menu has been condensed and favorites such as the pupu tower, prime rib and crab cakes are no longer on the menu. There was some noticeable differences in service and lots of missing items. The kung pao calamari arrived without a serving spoon, we were missing butter knives and the fancy sea salts were no where to be seen. Our entrees were also super disappointing considering prices have increased. The surf and turf and sake marinated black cod were ok. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and the black cod was tasty compared to the roasted chicken, which was atrocious. Two of us ordered it and it was completely inedible. Both dishes arrived cold. The mashed potatoes were cold and the airline chicken breast has shrunk in size from previous visits. Chicken was so dry and bland, we couldn't even choke it down. Like, it had no seasoning whatsoever and was cooked to death. We ended up complaining and they comped the dishes, but we totally left hungry, which sucked. We came to Palisade last night for our wedding anniversary, expecting excellent service and delicious food and received neither. To start- the two stars are solely because of the beautiful building and lovely views. Unfortunately, the building was not clean- the women's bathroom had a build up of used paper towels on the floor and the window sill where we were seated was filthy- flecked with food and covered in dust. Our server, while nice, did not ask how our drinks or food were once. We had drinks, an appetizer, entrees, and dessert and she never asked how the food was. The food was, extremely subpar. The bread basket was stale and flavorless. The farmers market salad was the best thing we ate and while it was okay tasting, the roasted vegetables were cut into pieces that were way too large to eat without cutting. Unfortunately, we were only give butter knives which hardly cut through the nearly raw vegetables. Our entrees (bucatini and seafood grill) we're both lacking seasoning, freshness and quality. The crab on the bucatini was awful- shredded like confetti and not fresh tasting at all. The scallops on the seafood mixed grill were neither seared nor grilled properly, and were rubbery. The vegetables on the mixed grill were undercooked and swimming in butter or oil. The restaurant brought out a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was thoughtful. However, it was a creme brûlée with a rotten, sour taste, a strawberry that had gone bad and cream that had been whipped so hard it was churned into butter. Needless to say, we left hungry, disappointed, and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

For the 25+ years I've been dining at Palisade, it has always been exceptional. One could expect attentive service, excellent food, unique atmosphere (with the footbridge and aquatic life in the ponds below, and the stunning view overlooking Elliott Bay into Puget Sound) and accommodating, professional waitstaff. So I booked a table for 14 to celebrate a life event. That's all over with Landry's purchase. Only the food was fine (as in acceptable, not as in elevated), not exceptional. Some diners reported meh. There was a dead fish in the pond, clearly visible from the footbridge. They got drink orders wrong three times. They brought dishes to be served before clearing finished dishes. They said the wrong name of food items (the waiter announced "rack of lamb" when it was "lamb chops"). Other finished food stayed in front of diners for 30-45 minutes before being cleared. Mostly eaten appetizers were still on the table after dinner plates had been cleared. They served soup without a spoon. The grains of salt were too large for the salt shakers. They asked us if we were interested in dessert menus but then tarried for over 30 minutes before bringing said dessert menus. Worst of all, we were seated under a speaker playing third-rate pop music that was so loud it required conversation levels to elevate. When we asked for it to be turned off or even turned down, we were told that "corporate" requires the music be played. Landry's seeks to create an atmosphere wholly at odds with fine dining, wholly at odds with Seattle culture where value is appreciated when dollars equal a commensurate level of experience. DO NOT GO TO PALISADE unless you want a spectacular view and to spend money on an experience "corporate" wants to control for you. I suppose it would be fine for drinks, as long as you don't want a straight-up mojito, because they don't even have a regular mojito! They used to have yummy mojitos but not now. I guess "corporate" updated the menu and old standbys are things of the past. I will mourn the passing of one of my favorite event-appropriate dining establishments. Walking in through the grand entrance to the view of the city skyline across the waters, through the large windows that frame the picture postcard perfect view, the Palisade made a grand first impression. Its beautiful interiors with extensive woodwork and an indoor stream with live fish sauntering around (assuming fish actually saunters at all) added a slice of tranquility to the atmosphere. To whet the appetite was the Crab and Lobster Bisque started the evening. The silky smooth bisque was accented with shredded crab meat and chunks of lobster. The soup was smooth and delicious, while the crab and lobster helped break any apparent threat of textural or flavour monotony. The entree of Wild Alaskan Halibut on Saffron Rice, Mussels, and Chorizo reminded me, visually, of a paella topped with a grilled or seared halibut. The rice was delicious, with the texture of pilaf rice, and went really well with the chorizo and mussels. The halibut flaked with a touch of the fork and was delicious! The whole plate came together really well. I rounded off the meal with a dessert of crepes with dates and figs compote, with pecans on Greek yogurt. It was delicious. I also got a taste of K's flourless chocolate cake which was served with a swish of a fruit-based (raspberry?) sauce and some crumbled brittles. All in all, the Palisade is expensive but worth the price for those occasional special evenings that demands better service and fare. read more

Unfortunately, we had one of our worst restaurant experiences in years at Palisade. We were a group of 8 ranging from ages 25 - 85. The views are incredible but the food and service was truly disappointing. We've been customers for years but will not be returning. We were served cold fish and incorrect dishes. They have multiple instances of salmon and halibut on the menu and we were given the wrong option despite our orders. This happened to one of our guests who is allergic to gluten and was served couscous. Upon correcting the change, we were still brought back cold fish and the wrong dishes. Our guest had a birthday - they brought small plates for everyone but then handed him a personal crème brûlée and did not offer anyone else dessert menus for 25 minutes. Finally, the waiter came over to tell us about a loyalty program and calculated the bill in front of the ENTIRE table. This was a nearly $1000 dinner and it was completely inappropriate to announce this to a table of 8 people - we were all stunned. Sadly, we won't be returning to Palisade. read more

Appetizer we decided on crab and lobster dip. It was rich, but it was good! Decided on the Seafood Trio since I was indecisive. It was good, the salmon was supposed to be "medium rare" but I cut into the thickest part and it was fully cooked. The scallops were good, the prawns were good. I think the mashed potatoes were sitting for a bit. When I went to scoop them up for a bite, they were a bit firm and hardened as if it had been sitting for a bit. For dessert we had the caramelized banana dish, and it is what pushed me to give 5 stars. That one was a game changer, definitely recommend it! read more

Met a girlfriend for lunch at Palisade and it was amazing. Their lunch menu is excellent and not at all pricey. Fish and chips (3 pieces) for $22 (Dukes and Chinooks charge more...2 pieces at Dukes is $29 and not very good). The Palisade hamburger is $18, about what you pay anywhere - but without the view or linen tablecloths! Our waiter, Marcus, was friendly and attentive. I recently ate here for a work holiday party. The name of the restaurant carries a lot of weight with dining in Seattle. Unfortunately the food and service no longer does. I was just seated when ice water was spilled down my back and into the chair. I was able to take my jacket off, but the chair caught the water so I sat through dinner with wet pants. I was offered a quick 'sorry' but wasn't even offered a napkin, I used what was at the table. Not even offering a complimentary beverage seemed weak. I didn't make a big deal out of it, I'm not sure our server knew, but the busser did and wasn't going to say anything. The food was ok, but not outstanding. The desserts were pretty delicious and priced fairly. Overall, the price reflects the view, not the standard of the meal. I remember my parents dining here with close family friends maybe 5 years ago and came home with glowing reviews all around. Judging by other reviews, they haven't been able to replicate their pre-covid experience. Bummer. read more

I went to Palisades for a late night dinner with high expectations since it used to be a favorite place to go. I ordered a Caesar salad which had good flavor but the lettuce was very limp. There's nothing by worse than a limp Caesar salad! I also ordered the steak and lobster. I could tell the lobster was very good but it was over-salted. Such a shame. The steak was perfectly cooked but it needed more flavor. The creamy horseradish sauce was very good. The asparagus was okay. But the lump of potato was hard and flavorless. My husband ordered the key lime pie which was okay. It was more whipping cream than lime pie. I ordered the strawberry shortcake and it was really disappointing. Very stale tasting shortcake with flavorless whipping cream. The ambience was beautiful as always and service was nice, if somewhat slow. I was expecting more from Palisades. read more

Both Awful and Expensive While our server was polite, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive and we were one of the first tables seated for Brunch. My 'Prime Rib' hash had a couple of paper thin slices of grey roast beef, but no 'Prime Rib.' It also had lots of mushy potatoes, breading, some sausage, and a cheese-like but not cheese (and definitely not Parmesan) sauce. The irony is that after waiting an hour the food arrived cold. My wife's Eggs Benedict was also poor; the Hollandaise sauce was runny and thin. The 'Fresh' Orange juice might have been fresh at the factory, but it came out of a box carton ( not even a bottle). My daughter's crab cakes were very old with the classic taste and smell of rotting seashore. When the bill arrived for $260 for 5 people, (brunch - no drinks) my wife turned to me and said, "That was truly awful". read more

The interior of this restaurant is fantastic. The chandeliers with the Chihuly glass, the scenic view of the Puget sound, the spacious dining room, and their setup with the aquatic life all add a lot to the experience. Their seafood is their specialty, but we also ordered one of the Christmas specials: prime rib with prawns and it was delicious. The sea bass entree was oversalted and the crab risotto included with it was severely undercooked. Risotto should be soft, not hard. There is no excuse for that at any price, especially not what it is offered for at Palisade. The scallop and bacon entree was good, if somewhat over buttered. At this price point there should not be any major errors by the kitchen staff. I wouldn't recommend going here anymore. I was very disappointed because the food was nothing like I remember years ago. Let me start out with saying if I knew there was a living wage fee I would not have eaten at this restaurant, because everybody knows a living wage fee is just a way for the company to make more money. It goes to nobody but the owner. So we started off our dinner with pokey, tuna starter it was almost flavorless, and it came with some greasy wontons. We also had a beer and a cocktail to start, and our waiter offered us tapwater. I hope it didn't come from the restroom but that's what he called it. Then we had a pear and blue cheese salad, as well as a Caesar salad with white anchovies. The way to anchovies tasted like sardines, but both of those salads were very good. Next we had for an entrée, a seafood salad, and swordfish the swordfish and the salmon on the salad. Both were a little fishy smelling the salad had like crab shredding's on it obviously from McCann no chunks the shrimp were dry. She had a white balsamic vinaigrette dressing, which was very good. We had a couple glasses of wine during dinner, and we ended it with a crème brûlée that was more like a rice pudding. If you're a tourist, the view here is amazing all of Seattle, but if your local maybe try somewhere else. Restaurant hasn't really been updated in 10+ years. read more

My boyfriend reserved this place to celebrate Valentine's day the day after. The parking lot of this restaurant was so dark. When you see the Asian lion statues, you are in the right spot. Although there wasn't that many tables near the windows with the view, they didn't seat us there. I was surprised when I saw the menu that they still have a Valentine's Day menu which was a three course dinner. We decided to skip on that because the price wasn't worth it for what we wanted. The server was really welcoming and suggested that we try the prime rib. We ordered the Kung Pao Calamari and Herb Crusted Slow Roasted Prime Rib. We asked the server if we can get the Valentine's Day Special Dessert without doing the three course dinner and she said "of course, it will be $12." When the food came out, everything was so good. The Herb Crusted Slow Roasted Prime Rib was really big and the meat was so soft. The potato that it came with goes perfectly well with the horseradish. I like how the horseradish wasn't that strong tasting since I'm not a fan of horseradish. When we wanted to order our dessert, our server was no where to be seen. She went missing and we told someone else we wanted to see the dessert menu. The other server flagged down our server, but our server didn't pay attention to us. She was more attended on the other table that was celebrating a birthday. When the dessert came out, it was so yummy! There was a chocolate cake and strawberry shortcake with truffles. The truffles were my favorite! I was in love! I would come back here next time when I'm in Seattle. I just hope service gets better.
