I found Club Delfino the best gym I came across in Italy and the least expensive day rate. The gyms in Rome and Florence were less equipped and more expensive per day. Club Delfino has adequate equipment and free weights to do a full workout of any sort. There appeared to be plenty of cardio equipment as well but with all the walking I've done on this trip, I didn't pay attention. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The locker room appeared clean.

The rate of 14 euros for the day fair and reasonable. They have a room full of equipment, and it was not crowded. They offer two-three classes a day (some Les Mills), and I had fun taking one of them. The instructor babbled away in Italian, and while I did not understand a word I followed along. Facility is clean, not too crowded, and with a GREAT VIBE - would definitely recommend (and many of the front desk people speak English) - Note bring a towel as they do not provide, which is typical for European clubs. They do have showers.
