Brought my elderly parent (92) to Rachel Pearl, NP @ the Orchard Park. she was in formed of the…read moreissue & all meds. she spent literally 5min, looked at my parent told me what I already knew from hearing evaluation given earlier in week and proceeded to prescribe a medication which my parent should not be given. when I explain I was uncomfortable with that and I had wanted a dr. she basically shrugged snd walked out of the room ending the visit. when checking out I mentioned I had questions and she had just walked out of the room on us, they brought her back only to say well there is no one here today! My parent had such a struggle to get there that day only to rec nothing but a prescription for a medication they could not take. That was confirmed by my paren's own physician to not administer the drug. I called Buffalo Medical Group for over a month 1st speaking to Joe Phiffer who promised to get back to me but never did. After leaving numerous messages for over a month, no call back. They do not care about patient, they grab the $ and push you out the door with no assistance.

The doctors and nurses here have always been incredibly good to me, for whatever reason I find myself in their office. Just recently I visited because of a severely sore throat; fearing strep I gave a call and they were able to see me that afternoon. When I arrived, I'll admit I was a bit of an emotional wreck because of how awful I was feeling, but their services reassured me that I'd end up being alright. The doctor and nurse who aided me were incredibly nice and understanding, as well as accommodating. In the past I've come here when I broke my pinky finger, and after I'd sprained my ankle really bad, which they always recommend before being sent to the emergency room/immediate care (unless there's a legitimate emergency - like when I'd been hit by a car). Both those times the doctors had given me excellent advice to help me back on my feet in no time. I've also gotten flu shots, immunizations and basic check-ups; they basically provide you with everything you need here. This place has gone under a couple of renovations since I was small, but the offices are incredibly nice and very clean. It's easy to be comfortable here, which is ideal in a place you can find yourself starting to feel a little nervous. I would definitely suggest this office, especially families with small children.

Check in is fast and the receptionist makes it a pleasant experience. I have never been here when an employee was having "a bad day" because everyone is always pleasant and you can tell they love their jobs and it is a friendly work place. I was taken in on time. When we got to the exam room, I was informed about what was scheduled for today and each step was thoroughly explained with all my questions answered. Everyone involved in today's visit was fantastic! It is convenient that Dr Avino has all the equipment on site, making a visit to his office easy. No outside referrals needed. I am sharing my personal experience as a former patient of, Dr. Wnek, so that others can make…read moreinformed decisions about their own care In my experience, my concerns and the findings related to my thyroid nodules were not followed as closely as I believe they should have been. I was later diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes. After reviewing my medical history, I was left with serious questions and concerns about whether suspicious characteristics present in my earlier thyroid imaging should have resulted in additional evaluation or biopsy sooner. I also experienced significant problems with continuity of care at the practice. I later discovered that there were two separate patient records under my name, and I had difficulty obtaining a followup appointment (with phone logs to prove I called to make the appointment and was not allowed). I was ultimately terminated as a patient while I was hospitalized for surgery related to my thyroid cancer. Paula Gorman call me while I was in the hospital after surgery for cancer, which they are part of the care team for. I was alone in pain and on medication and incredibly vulnerable situation and this woman thought this was the best time to call that she was releasing me from the practice. Absolutely zero compassion from this woman or this facility. This experience had a profound impact on my life and required additional treatment and surgery. I am currently pursuing formal complaints so that the appropriate agencies can review the facts and medical records independently. This review reflects my personal experience and my concerns based on my own medical records and treatment history.I encourage anyone seeking thyroid care to review their imaging, ask questions, and seek additional opinions when they have concerns.
