If you're looking for a church that offers a sincere family type experience, I encourage you to become a part of this wonderful parish, even if you have to drive an hour or so to get there! Nothing was holy -- from the art, the music, the liturgy. It was like a Mega Church giving shallow entertainment, hoping the sappiness stirs the congregation. Nothing Catholic about it. It was a bad imitation of a protestant service. I was horrified from beginning to end. For those who gave a good review, I urge you to find a good Catechism class. Not at this institution, though. Some may attribute dissatisfaction to the fact that this church has "liberal" views. I saw nothing liberal or conservative. I heard nothing liberal or conservative. I would be labeled "progressive" for my political views. Please don't insult liberals by calling what happens at this place such. I'm still in a state of disbelief.

I recommend you watch some services online and see if this church is where God is calling you to. Also know that the Children's ministry is strong and active and my two kids enjoy attending. Lastly, the church is handling COVID in the best way possible... which is to respect everyone at their own level of comfort. Services have been outside, with social distancing and mask wearing when you're not at your seat. I had attended a few different churches in the Schaumburg area, but never really connected to any of them. I had also gotten very jaded about churches in general. (too many news stories about preachers with BMWs and mansions...) A neighbor of ours told us that Waterfront gives 100% of their offerings to people in need. (salaries and expenses are raised separately) They don't even have a building and were renting space from the local high school on Sunday mornings. My family attended a service and were taken by how friendly everyone was. Most of the congregation and the small church staff introduced themselves to us and the service itself was not too preachy for me. We enjoyed it enough to keep going and it quickly became 'our' church. My young son loves the children's program and looks forward to going every week. Eventually the service moved to a different location and switched to Saturday at 5:00PM. A year later I love going to Waterfront and every time I go it is like being at a family reunion where only the relatives you like show up! The whole mission of the church is "loving God and people well" and you can really tell that's what they are trying to do. If you are looking for a Church, this is the place to go. If you aren't looking for a church but want to meet some really nice people, this is still the place to go. We understand this is private property but there was literally no one there that my almost 2-year-old would have been a threat to. And she was with her active duty military father. You people are great at excluding anyone who doesn't fit your definition of good. A little baby with her father who is protecting your rights to exclude anyone was thrown out of your precious playground. You Catholics are the actual professionals at exclusion of​ good.

The allotted church parking fills up fast, but the church is in a residential area so it's easy to find street parking.
