The outside is a huge amphitheater that had many stairs to go down to the lowest area or up to the top. It is interesting to see and makes for a great photo opportunity. This is definitely a must-see when on a tour of the city.

This is a great musuem it has hundreds of wonderful artifacts found in the ruined ships at the…read morebottom of the harbour, the musuem is modern and has computers to show you around diffrent nautical sites in spain. The discoverys come from the roman and the punic era and include some wonderful elephant tusks with writing on them, silver coins and oil burners as well as statues and parts of ships. There are several different monitors which have different cartoon games showing you what it was like in roman times and several tubes of water with intereative devices like divers and vacuums to show you how the arceology was discovered the site has everything in english and spansih and has some really interesting descriptions of what it was like in cartagena years ago. Disabled access is great there are lifts and ramps the musueam is down the ramp and the nice cafe is on the first floor there is full wheelchair access to all the displays it was 3 euros to get in with under 18 and over 60 free well worth a visit

It was fun to…read morewalk through the neighborhood on the way there and once inside, we spent about an hour walking through the entire building. It's a well maintained museum that is free- I'd recommend to anyone that has the time to add it or their Alicante trip.
