This is just another tchotchkes beach store on the main drag of town. They advertise $2.99 towels and nothing more than $6.99 but it's just like every other similar shop on this road. Towels are hidden in the back and the main draw here is the create your own t-shirt or tank or coverup. I finally decided on a couple of designs to make some gifts. From here I thought I'd be able to pay and get the coverups since the hardest part is deciding what you want made. Boy was I wrong - the guy working here was doing five things at once. He was an aggressively friendly Eastern European fellow that definitely took his time taking care of things. It. Took. Forever. The end product was OK. One coverup looked as I expected it would, the other had the image placed too low. Oh well - it's hard to complain when they are $9.99 a piece when you buy two. read more

I would give this place ZERO stars. Was ripped off $40. Sadly it took me a couple hours after to realize it. I'm sure I'm not the first and I know I won't be the last. How this place is getting away with this is beyond me. I'm just mad at myself for not realizing earlier because I would of gone full Karen on that thief. read more

I would give zero stars if that was an option! They charged me double for a toy that they charged the people in front of me 1/2 the price. I noticed immediately after checking out and they refused to adjust the price. The old lady behind the cash register was extremely rude and just kept repeating herself. I ended up just walking out. read more

This is probably the only review I've ever done of a place I didn't actually go into. But my wife walked in to look for souvenirs after running the South Padre half-marathon (while I was minding the kids in the car) then she came walking back out after a couple of minutes. We had planned to take turns looking inside, but she made it clear that would be a waste of time as there was nothing worth buying, not even a decent beach towel. She loves finding bargains at Ross and TJ Maxx, so it's not like we were looking for something swanky. When you can't meet even that standard, you are in trouble. read more

Ignore the sign that says "Nothing over $6.99." They have a small section of items that are not over $6.99, but otherwise, most of the store is over $6.99. read more

this place is the worst i bought a toy for my kid and it broke instantly me and my family are all about the black lives matter movement and right after we got out of the store my daughter pointed out the confederate flag i was dissapontied to see that i understand that some people support that but that is not a way to attract black and brown customers read more

Should have checked Yelp before going into this place. TERRIBLE customer service and product quality. It's a beach place, so of course everything will be overpriced, but I didn't expect the $20 towel I bought to be falling apart the second I opened the package. Stay away! Extremely rude disrespectful- staff member is a bully. Went in looking for a ball for our son. The bald middle aged (50+)man at the register scolded our youngest for bouncing the ball we were at register to purchase. I explained we were looking to buy a ball, but perhaps we wouldn't buy one there. The man at the register mimicked me as I told him that wasn't appropriate. (Yes in front of our son) Felt bullied and mortified this grown man would behave in this juvenile manner. Respect and customer service is not this stores motto. Previous post is right nothing in there less than $6.99, and very poor treatment of customers to boot. read more
