There is just so much to see here and while I definitely enjoyed seeing this automotive history, I also learned some too. For example, the "T" in Fiat is "Torino" because the company was chiefly based here in Turin. Just about every vehicle on display also included a caption that explained some of its history but also a QR code you could scan for more information in Italian or English. With their free wifi, I was snapping pictures and taking screen snaps to document what I saw. Old cars, new cars, historic cars, horseless carriages, motorcycles and so much more. Not just Italian cars, there were Packards and Austins and Cadillacs and Jaguars and even an East German Trabant. Absolutely fabulous and well worth the price of admission. Bring comfy shoes, be sure your battery is fully charged and have a fantastic time! (I thought the gift shop was a bit limited and I wasn't really able to find anything particularly memorable to commemorate my visit. I ended up with a keychain that I turned into a magnet. I relished its delightful Floor Mosaic from the Cathedral of Acqui depicting hunters(produced between 1120 and 1130 AD by the Lombard Piedmontese Mosaicist).I also appreciated the Master of Oropa Madonna Workshop's"The Life of Mary Magdalene"(produced in the mid 14th Century,made of polychrome and gilded wood),and the Master of Courmayeur's"Antepedium With Christ,the Virgin,and Saints"(produced in 1200-1210AD and made of painted and gilded Spruce Wood) The following Medieval Period Paintings were sources of delectation;Barnaba Da Modena's"Virgin and Christ Child",Pietro D'Alba's"Polytych 1375"(this painting had a plethora of gold leaf),Giacomo Jacquerio's"Liberation of Saint Peter"(he was associated with Turin),and Jacopo di Cione's"Two Doctors of Church". Juventus stadium is impressive as hell. Tickets were a pain to get though. You first have to become…read morea member, which you can do so online. Then, when tickets are available for sale, you have to call the office to buy your tickets. One membership can only buy you one ticket, so you can't buy several tickets for your friends or family. Anyway, going back to the actual stadium - inside the stadium, it's absolutely beautiful, this is a new stadium and by comparison, it's smaller and more organized than an NFL stadium. You will find regular stadium seats, but also there are seats that look like airplane seats, as in there is a little tv screen in front of you, on the back of the seat of the person sitting in front of you. Security is everywhere, and for rivalry games, the fans of a rival team will get their own section, but they are surrounded by security to make sure fights don't break out and the proper security measures are administered at all times. Food and drink options are pretty limited, there's pizza, beer, and a small selection of soft drinks, which isn't too big of a deal, since the stadium has a cafeteria that is basically a restaurant specifically for members to dine at before the game.

As one of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy, the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi is protected by the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Unfortunately it has been not taken care of for long time, but recently it has been refurbished... and may be still is. it is really wonderful.

The museum staff members were all so sweet and kind. We had an incredibly amicable and knowledgeable museum guide who was telling us about the history. He spoke to me in Italian and I tried my best to understand any words that were remotely Spanish. :) There was also a short video in English that was helpful. There were English translations throughout the exhibit which also helped fill in the gaps. The chapel was really beautiful, and I liked the Braille metal version of the shroud that was on display in the museum. It showed a picture with famed Italian singer Andrea Bocelli visiting the Braille shroud. There was also a really beautiful backlit art piece.

If you can do a museum in what should be a religious place, this is a good example…read more The Museo della Sindone mixes modern displays with an abundance of information about the shroud's discovery and pictures of the Holy Shroud. There is alot of time spent explaining the trace shadows which create the image of Christ. In the end (since there is a numbered route to follow), you end up in the church where the Holy Shroud had been stored. This place too was very interesting because of the variety of murals, huge old organ, arrangement of the pews, etc. Very interesting and informative place.
