I've had an unusual experience trying to enrol my son here because I am a student at AUT and it…read morewould obviously be super handy to have him at the campus daycare! I've been for a few visits and the place is great - clean and heaps of facilities and the teachers are actively involved with the children, who all seemed like they were having fun. I have had great communication from the manager there about my prospective enrolment. I would give it a 5 star rating if I was actually able to enrol there, but since they were very inflexible about their 2 day minimum policy, I was turned away and told to 'find somewhere else that better suited my needs'. Where else better suits than on campus??! I have 1 daytime class at uni and the rest of my classes are at night when the daycare is closed, so I only wanted to enrol for one day. They would rather have no enrolment than only one day. I was very disappointed.

When I first started looking for daycares in the Ellerslie area the thing that stood out about this…read moreone was how friendly the staff are and it seemed to me like it was just one big family. The daycare has a nice indoor area which has a separate area for under 2's, it also had a large outdoor area with a large sand pit and once again a separate area for under 2's. They have their own kitchen so food is always made onsite so they provide 2 nutritious snacks and lunch. My daughter was only at the daycare for 5 weeks as we moved out of the area however I was really sad that she was going to be leaving them. They are a great daycare and also in a very handy location.

I had the pleasure of being shown around this amazing…read morecentre (just out of interest) and I'm very impressed, not only about the location, but the amazing space purpose built for kids in this great thriving community. The centre is large with ideal spaces for babies and a toddler areas too. Plenty of arts and creative space, kitchen, bathrooms and laundry area and also some beautiful outdoor play areas for the little ones. The centre director Cindy was excellent, very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. I would surely love for my kid to go here. I'm however confident in all other children's experiences and parents too as my child went to another centre of the same owner (Blue Frog) and I've also seen another Mangere Bridge Centre - Spotted Frog and all three are of high calibre and provides excellent teaching staff for all ages 0-6 years.

This is a great charity! My husband works in community services and forwarded an email to me about…read morethis charity late last year hosting a sale of new and pre-loved clothing in Mt Eden. He is such a sweetie, he handed me a wad of cash and said go for it (it was a treat after quite a stressful year). So I sure did!!! I had lots of girly fun, along with many other women going nuts trying on loads of clothing in a communal changeroom and seizing further bargains and discounts (like $1 shoes or handbags) being called out across the room for set periods of time (like 5 minutes!). It was great, and ALL the proceeds went to the charity, which relies heavily on fundraisers such as this to help support women getting back into the workforce. That day they raised $6000. They do not have a set place to visit, you would need to contact them through email or phone if you are interested in finding out more about them, know of a woman/are that woman that could really do with some help, or, if you have something you could donate then they have several charity drop off points that can be found on their website. The website will also let you know about upcoming fundraisers like I went along too.
