Trying to find good painters/contractors that are not booked 2-months out is a challenge, but I got a tip from a friend that I should call Frank. He came up and gave us a very reasonable price, and was able to start 2 days later. He painted the entire house in under 2 weeks, including some touchups we had them work on. We also had some minor carpentry work as well as some electrical, and he took care of everything. he has his connections to an electrician, and did the carpentry himself, I belive, but it all looked great. I will absolutely hire him again on my next job. read more

Let me share our experience using Drywall 4 less. Frank came in with all the confidence and knowledge needed to complete the job. And he does good work when he decides to show up. His management skills and communication skills are the problem. We wanted to finish our basement. Frank gave us a written bid and a time frame of completion. He came in and started right away and made great progress then as time moved on we started to see Frank and his crew less and less sometimes a week would go by. Frank eventually went over his completion date by many weeks. By the time it was all done he was weeks over the date we had to push back carpet plumber, and other contractors, we had to rent our storage unit longer as well as other inconveniences. Frank left state at least twice, one of them I know for sure was vacation the other one I only assume was a vacation. I recall one day Frank telling me he had a big job down the street from us which I can only assume took most of his time and was the reason why he did not treat us as priority. Folks the picture say it all he did not fur down far enough and we have a plumbing pipe sticking out of the ceiling (and he wanted us to pay for a plumber to come out and adjust the pipe) he did not remove his trash, he did not finish painting the doors, one of the doors did not get hung. The second vacation he took he was gone for a couple weeks and came back and wanted to finish the projects by this time we were over budget and well over time frame. He ordered all the doors wrong side hinged and tried to blame it on the door company, this delayed us a week. We told him that we did not want to move forward because we could not afford it he said he would take $400 it was our understanding that the $400 would complete the project that was gonna cost $800. This is only one of the miscommunications he showed up picked up his check and after a short discussion (argument) that I had with him and found out that he would not be completing the project he took his check and left. We put a stop payment on the check he said that he would Lien the house. We'll see how it goes in court. read more

Frank and his crew are simply amazing! I hired them to finish my basement and to frame out and install an electric fireplace. Not only is their work impeccable, but they're also reasonably priced. I will continue hiring them for future projects and would highly recommend them to everyone. read more

His bid came in within a couple hundred dollars of everyone else, in the middle, but because his crew could help with multiple stages of our basement we decided to go with him. Here is my review. -1 star for Unclear expectations and then claiming "That's not our job, you didn't pay for that" when the job is done. It should be his job to make sure it's clear what they are doing and what they are not. -1 star for mass over ordering materials and then charging for them. -2 star for massive over estimates, and then sticking it too you. 1 star for having solid workers who did a good enough job, if incomplete. Hired this crew to do my baseboards and hang my doors. I was told that a job would take 2 guys 3 days (48 hours), and so his bid felt fair. Took 1 guy 1 day (2 4 hour days). I've got a garage full of lumber I have to return myself to try and get some money back. Plus he said he'd get everything ready for paint, but there is a ton of sanding I have to do that he is now saying wasn't covered because that is the painters job. He'll deny everything and say that this is how it's all supposed to be. Doesn't matter that he's charging you 50% more per hour than a doctor or a lawyer and the work is being handed over with some polish work needing to be done. It might be different if you hire him to paint and do everything. read more
