She realized I had no testosterone in me and I started crying in her office because she said it was a wonder I was alive. She immediately put me on bio-identical hormone replacement therapy creams, two of them, and progesterone capsules. She also found out I was anemic, which I never knew. She also put me on a slow increase of up to 5k I.U.'s of vit. D3 and 1000 mcg of B12 and an iron supplement. This change in my medications helped me tremendously. She is such an excellent doctor and helps so many, many patients. She has a mantra in her office that she lives by that says she is a healer and that is exactly what she is. She is also my friend. Practicing for over 20 years in NJ, Dr. Chao is a University of Penn doctor board certified as an OB/GYN. She is consistently honest, caring, open, and approachable. She knows her audience, taking the time to get to know you and will listen to your concerns, offer options, discuss your care and answer your questions patiently. While I haven't had any major problems, she has dealt with my yearly examinations with consistently meticulous service, and as a primary care physician, has helped out with prescriptions I have needed and dealt with infections, problems with protein in my urine and a scary "i might be pregnant" episode in which I had a momentary lapse of reason, swallowing too many BCP at once, patiently reminding me that's a bad idea and why, and having me in for a real pregnancy test so that i could be "really really" sure i wasn't going to have triplets. I will admit to one down side: she's incredibly busy so her schedules are often tight. Wait....two: she's incredibly hard to get on the phone unless it's an emergency. Pinelands OB/GYN has a "soup nazi" front desk staff and nursing staff with the special nack for keeping all non-emergent questions in que. But the up side of this is that when you do leave a message requesting a call back, it's usually her if you have medical questions, and they can refill your prescriptions within 24 hours. I give her 5 stars for integrity, professionalism and knowing her stuff about more than just her major field of study/residency.

After reading Julia's review, however, I decided Dr. P sounded like my kinda woman, "someone I would love to have a beer with?" say no more. So I scheduled my appointment on Friday and they were able to put me in on Monday. I showed up at 3:30 (my assigned time), fearing I'd end up spending my entire afternoon there. Within 10 minutes I was seen by a nurse and within another 5 Dr. P showed up. She's just awesome. Totally conversational, quick to put you at ease, thorough... We talked about my medical history, she ran through a few exams, prescribed some medicine for my nagging cough, and sent me off for some blood work. I was out of the office by 4:15! I was hoping things would be better with the inspira name but after dealing with at least 3 inspira Hospitals i see the trend is not better. Staff is rude from security all the way up. We were both admitted here in 2024. It was a horrible experience. My husband was called a junkie/pill seeker. Luckily he was diagnosed before dying. But barely. I was given a stool softener just because it was on my list of allowable medications but I had diarrhea. I also was woke up. Groggy and was not given chance to refuse. I tried to vomit medication. Even punching myself to try and throw up. Stick fingers down throat nothing worked and nurses excuse was it's on my list. No apologies no sympathy. I will not come here for surgery, ED or admitted for anything. If you can't trust the medical professionals this is the worst. American Healthcare sux. We also think calling anyone darling, dear, honey, sweety or any other as sexual harassment if a patient did it to staff it would be offensive.
