Steve came out the same day and ran a camera from the problem area all the way out to the main drain in the street. Luckily, the problem was a relatively short area of old cast iron pipe about 15 feet in length, about a third of which was under our house. My husband and I dug out the area where the repair was needed, and as soon as we were done, Steve came that afternoon and completed the repairs. (He was very nice throughout the repair, even though he had to wiggle about 30 feet under our house to get to the cracked pipe!) We could not have asked for a more rapid response, a more detailed explanation of the problems and a nicer professional to remedy what was a nightmare sewer problem for us. Steve has wonderful attention to detail and has a friendly, down to earth way about him. He has a monster truck that seems to be supplied as well as any plumbing store. He had everything we needed for our repair stocked in his truck (no time wasted going to a plumbing supply house during repairs). I can't recommend Steve enough. He is professional, thorough, pleasant, knowledgable and just a genuinely nice man. His prices are very reasonable and we look forward to seeing him once a year when we have him check our sewer lines from now on! Thanks, Steve, for a great job! Trudy DiLeo

Excellent work done by Alpine Chimney Sweeps!…read more A co-owner of the company showed up on time, did a thorough assessment of the insert and chimney, and made valid recommendations for safety measures we can implement. The price for work and knowledge is excellent too! The design of our insert and chimney is unusual, but the sweep did not waste my time like others have, by complaining that the system should have been made better. He assessed it thoroughly, gave me a good estimate of the time cleaning would take and why, then got to work and cleaned it exceptionally well. We discussed some options for ensuring that one necessary upgrade (previously known) can be made with specific materials. This was kindly offered although the work requires another vendor, so Alpine stood to gain nothing but my respect, gratitude, and a return customer. I've already referred friends!

Mr Dimuccio's name was on the existing water heater in the home that I purchased after moving to…read morePagosa Springs. I married in the spring of this year and found that the water heater was inadequate to provide hot water for my new family and, so, not knowing better, called this so-called plumber for replacement options and he guaranteed that an on-demand propane hot water heater would take care of our needs. He and his employees spent a Friday afternoon installing the new unit, only for us to have even less hot water that evening than before the installation. He and an employee returned the next day, doing some sort of work for 6 and a half hours, including cutting and splicing pipes and never found the problem, constantly blaming other plumbers that had worked on the original plumbing for their poor workmanship. He even named another plumber in Pagosa, stating that that man "had his daughter (an unlicensed plumber) do some of the work and she must have screwed it up". We asked Mr Dimmucio to stop working when his next suggestion was "to start opening up walls to find the problem". That night we had absolutely no hot water and many showers and toilets actually had no water at all, yet the propane heater never stopped running the whole night. My wife and I began calling and texting Mr Dimuccio numerous times that night and the next morning for help and he did not answer. The following morning the local water company telephoned me to let me know that almost 7000 gallons of water had run somewhere in our home overnight! At that time, I realized that the only place that much water could have run was in the crawlspace beneath our bedroom where these men had been working the previous day. That is exactly where I found the water, along with a splice that Mr Dimuccio had created which did not hold and was the source of the flow. From there, I went to the carpeted, furnished basement we have, which is on the other side of the basement wall from the flooded crawlspace and found that it, too, was flooded and much property ruined. This so-called plumber carried inadequate insurance to cover the cost of all damage, costing us almost $5000 and, in an effort to recoup this money via the Colorado small claims system, this person hired a lawyer to pit my wife against me in court for claims made. Decide for yourself if you would let this person touch your property.

Skip A-1 if you want service after the sale. They had good ratings based on a previous owner…read more However, the new owner has no sense of customer service. They installed a minisplit heat pump for us at a good price. The installation seemed to go well and his installation crew seemed competent and courteous. However, once they completed the installation (and the job was paid for), things turned sour. We did not originally have heat. When I called the owner he told us that heat pumps don't work below 40 degrees outside temperature and that he told us this at the start of the project. Two incorrect things - one, he never told us this (and if he had, we wouldn't have moved forward with the project) and two, this is not true. Our unit is rated to heat down to minus 15, as confirmed by the manufacturer. Then, I asked the owner for the serial numbers of the units to register the warranty, and to provide an invoice with specific info for our utility rebate. He accused is of asking for "a lot of extra work." Considering that we had just paid him nearly $9,000, I don't think that maybe a max of 90 minutes of effort would be unreasonable. Plus, the information we were asking for should have been provided automatically. Since then, the owner has not responded to any texts, calls or emails. Our unit is running erratically, so I am not sure the installation was proper. I am working to get another Fujitsu dealer over to check things out. So, again, stay away!!!
