The two movers worked hard to meet that request, including figuring out a useful solution for us (unloading some things into the garage instead of putting everything in the house, which helped us meet our goal). The driveway is very steep, and initially Phil thought said could cut it in half with a ramp out of the side of the truck. His time estimate was based on that idea, but it turned out we couldn't use the ramp, so the movers had to work harder than anticipated. They still made it happen, though -- it was more work than they expected going into the job, but they were very kind about it.

The guy Phil was absolutely a kind man answered the phone right away and we were actually able to get a move scheduled for the next day!!! I was so relieved. Even though they were showing up later in the afternoon that worked out perfect for us because we were still boxing things up at that point. Move went really really well and smooth and the two movers were AWESOME! They were really careful with all our things and you could tell they secured everything in their big truck professionally. Also I watched them scrape the drywall tf up and lie to my face about it (the chubby guy) Billed for three hours when they worked for two, and over 25% of the time billed was actually only two guys. I will be filing a dispute with my credit card unless Katie can reimburse the damaged item and damage to interior apartment. Then it's between you and Amex (they've never lost a dispute for me)

Don't use if it's long haul going into storage. Maybe ok for short hauls but in general I would…read moreavoid them. Packed items poorly in storage resulting in significant damage to furniture. You have to arrange your own storage and they are poor estimators of how much you will need. They hauled my Mercedes SUV on the truck and it hasn't been functioning properly since. Should have used a car delivery service. Also very expensive and quote was very low. Took multiple requests to get a receipt to submit to my new employer for reimbursement and it is bare bones. In a nutshell, though they seem friendly, it was the worst move of my life and I've moved 7 times as an adult. If I had read a review such as mine, I wouldn't have used them. Perhaps they've gone down in service. They definitely shouldn't have accepted my job though with needing to move into storage. Lesson learned. Good luck on your move!

I'm glad I checked the yelp ratings before renting a moving truck ...and based on that chose Penske…read more(over the slightly closer U-Haul). booking (online) was easy & quick, check-in was quick & uncomplicated (not a bunch of forms to fill out - just hand over my DL and credit card). the truck was nice & clean. and - beyond what could be expected in my mind - I especially appreciated that: 1) they let me switch to a larger truck when I realized (at pickup!) that the 12' truck might be just a tad tight. no fuss no muss and they just went right ahead and switched me to a 16'er, and for the same price to boot! :-) 2) I was moving in town and gonna put only about 10 miles on the truck, making 'topping off the gas' (for maybe 1 gallon) an inefficient hassle. so they just charged me a fair price for the gas (40c/mile, $4 for 1 gallon, I think) and didn't try to turn it into another profit element... ...but earned themselves a glowing review instead :-)

In addition to the fantastic job they did unloading, the price quoted had no additional hidden costs. I am super pleased with how quickly and carefully they worked. These guys were very nice, professional and hard working. I plan to use them again when my next load comes in later this month! UPDATE: I used them again today to unload both a POD and a Penske truck. I requested four men. Another excellent job done! These are hard working guys who only stop to catch their breath; they did it all in 3 hours. Lead by Reuben (as before), they efficiently unloaded everything and he also creatively figured out a way to fix a broken wheel on the Entertainment Center so they could load a 300 lb tube TV into it and move it in place! Thank you for a job well done and a repeat customer and a cash discount! (Pay with cash if you can, folks!)

The quote ended out being way low because of time wasted, an increased hourly rate I was not informed about from when I got a quote and because I had to buy my friend lunch after I called them in to do the job one of the movers couldn't do. One of the movers was good. He was personable and worked fast. The other mover that seemed to be the one "in charge" was so slow, unprofessional, reckless with my belongings and unapologetic when he let a full suitcase roll out the back of the moving truck. Multiple times I had to ask him to continue to work. He looked like he was exhausted after 30 minutes. I was on a weight restriction related to a medical procedure and I still moved more boxes than him. I ended out calling friend on the back end to come help so it wouldn't cost me even more. They left the starting point 30 minutes before we did and they arrived 30 minutes after. My girlfriend got bored waiting so she went to the convivence store where she saw them coming out after presumably taking a break. Every worker needs a break but it shouldn't be on the customers dime or at least take those breaks where the customer can access the truck. Zero communication on where they were during that hour either. When I tried to call billing to ask questions about the rate change and to request at least that 30 minutes back I only got a voicemail and they never called me back. I wouldn't use this company again.
