I Don't understand the two bad reviews for this division but I was given several HH care agencies and My surgeon suggested Adventist home health for post surgery care. So far I'm quite satisfied with the response from the office & staff. Irene coordinates, Renee is my nurse and so far communication is 100% spot on. I hear from them more than I think is usual & customary and when i do the communication is always clear & concise . They always arrive on time, at assessment they give you a packet with info that's quite valuable . I'm very satisfied with the service that I'm receiving from this branch of Adventist Simi. My nurse renee is thorough and always listens . Most patients just want to be heard! Today, Renee spent about an hour with me going over my care concerns and some other serious issues I've been having navigating the "system" of Medicare. Renee is helping me get connected with a social worker which is more than i could have asked for . Way beyond the service i expected . 10 Stars to Renee for being a true healthcare professional and advocating for me for services .

They use places far away from the patient. We live near Simi Adventist and it took at least 1-2 days to get anything. All thing came from El Monte or east side. Why? Would use moorpark, Tender Loving Care. I had a choice and figured we had a Adventist hospital near us so why not, WHAT A MISTAKE.

    I have been with Divine Care in Simi Valley for THREE MONTHS. In those 3 months I HAVE NOT RECEIVED…read moreNECESSARY EQUIPMENT yet, so I could get even better health from being in a long-term rehabilitation facility for 2-1/2 years. I just moved to a assisted living home now, but I still need assistance with my stroke paralysis on my left side of my body. They always give me the " run around" on getting the necessary equipment-- I think I need it-- the FIRMER bed with standard automatic controls to raise and lower the bed. The cheap insurance company only got me a INVALID HOSPITAL BED that's much too flimsy-- I can't SIT UP IN BED like before-- in my old facility-- I had a bed that was FIRM and did not SAG IN THE MIDDLE like this RENTED INVALID BED does. In short-- the physical therapist is good and helpful to me-- I am getting stronger because of his help. But some of the other workers don't really do their work because I don't see it happening. I only talked to one employee in the office there-- we only talked by phone-- but he just works in the office in Simi Valley-- I am living in Reseda, Ca. He is helpful. I have one other Divine Care employee who visits me every week for 20 minutes-- I thought he was good, but now-- he just pretty much "argues" with me the last month, because Divine Care "DROPS THE BALL" every week on getting me ANY EQUIPMENT!! Right now, I am waiting on a TRAPEZE assist bar contraption and they DON'T KNOW who has to "give their signature" for me to RECEIVE THIS!! 3 months! I wanted to order the GOOD bed-- Divine Care gives me the "run around" on the bed. I have to PAY EXTRA-- I want the new bed BECAUSE THE FLIMSY BED is BAD FOR ME! I told them I NEED the bed and I will GLADLY PAY EXTRA-- just find out how to order it. NOTHING. And still no TRAPEZE either. I call people who does a job at a bare minimum level a HALF-ASS WORKER. Some workers here are just like that. HALF-ASS WORKERS.

I called their billing department six times, left messages every time I called and nobody ever called me back. I feel very sad for all the elderly people that this company might be charging for services not rendered.

You truly have a heart like Jesus, as He said, 'I have come to be a servant of all and show you the Father's love through my actions.' Your daily actions, such as always entering my home with a sweet greeting and a smile. No matter what may have occurred on your drive to work you never let it change your kindness and compassion towards me. Your daily respect for my autonomy and personal choices have been a great relief and blessing to me. Last year, 2025, was enormously difficult for me physically, emotionally and mentally. I was badly injured by a caregiver who really didn't want to be with me. She wanted to run my life instead of letting me make my own decisions. Everything was a struggle. I am still dealing with the pain and suffering from her carelessness almost a year later. You, however, are the complete opposite of that caregiver. You show genuine care, compassion and empathy to me. At the same time you keep a close watch on me for my episodes, for any unusual reactions, for changes in my body or mind that may indicate something physically is about to happen or something that is happening without my knowledge. Your daily care of me is exceptional. Everything from reading my body signs or noticing that I am in the middle of a call, task or just not ready. Yet, you come back or tell me it's getting late for something we have scheduled. This may be as simple as my breakfast or as important as helping me to get ready for my doctor appointments, my bloodwork or therapy. You encourage me to try many things that can help my health, mood or my outlook for the day. Such as, helping me relearn my Spanish while I help you with English, or walking around the house with my gait belt and walker. You keep me on top of my goals. These can be as basic as making my bed every time I get up (in the morning and after my nap). In fact, this helped me create and continue this habit. Another goal of mine is building my strength and stamina enough to walk around outside my home. This has not happened yet, as I have been primarily bed bound since February 19, 2025. You encourage my stretching in bed to keep my body as limber as possible. This helps reduce injury in case of a fall. My personal Internist, Dr. Fondren of Newport Beach certainly appreciates your encouragement and reminders to help me to regain the strength I have lost since February 2025. (when a different caregiver injured me). Once I have regained a little more endurance, then I can start physical therapy. Finally, my family has been at peace with you being my main caregiver and I love how well you and Gabbi work together caring for me. Just knowing how dependable you both are, how you communicate with each other changes, concerns and even my meal planning and cooking. My sister and my son (they both call me almost every day) are amazed that I finally have a team like you and Gabbi. Thank you Veronica for everything and I look forward to 2026 being a great year with continued great care!
