What is Branches like? We want to know Jesus. We want to…read moresee a new life in us, our friends, and in people who have never had a faith or been part of a church. We want to be a people of welcome and laughter, of faith and hope and love, friends and family, justice and changed lives. We want to be a people where the homeless know they can find food, the broken can find healing, and the rejected feel at home. We want people to see our diversity of backgrounds and color and say, "What in the world to these people have in common? It's where one group is working to care for local drug addicts and another is training teachers in Malawi. It's where you will find normal people learning to pray, coming to faith, struggling with temptation, finding new purpose, and getting in touch with His power to carry that purpose out. It's where people bring their own little seed of faith in Jesus and discover, in getting together with others to honor the one true God, that the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts. We know that no church is like this all the time. But there are quite a few churches who are partly like this for quite a lot of the time. We want to see what God will do if we let Him, because we believe that He is the Vine; we are the Branches.

Branches church has an extremely low-key, unpretentious, and laid-back atmosphere. My wife calls it…read morea "surfer church." That said there a people from all walks of life who attend with a strong contingent of young families. The message is solid, but not pushy. I really enjoy the main pastor's delivery which often includes storytelling, historical context, and an explanation of the actual scripture language used. That may be my favorite part boiling down ancient teachings to terms that are easy to understand. Should you decide to get more involved, there are many different ongoing service opportunities. They actually will support you if there is a cause you care about and want to start your own service initiative for others to plug into. Last, if you have kids, there a two different rooms to drop them off to do crafts and activities that vary by their age. Branches is a good group people up to great things. Definitely worth checking out if you are on a "church search."

Beautiful church with a dedicated pastor whom I've had the pleasure of meeting several times. Twice as a guest speaker at the church that I attend Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in Diamond Bar and also when Pastor John Randall was our tour guide speaker in Israel. The service was great and I enjoyed the study. Almost everything pertained to what I was going through that day. So what he spoke about really helped. Nice personal touch on how everyone is really sincere on greeting you like they've known you for decades. Thank you Pastor John and everyone Note: While you're waiting for the service to start the screen shows beautiful video of various parts of San Juan Capistrano beach and events.
