I showed up to my wedding without ever meeting Catherine, but her warmth and friendliness made me feel comfortable immediately. As someone who is pretty shy in front of the camera (same goes for my partner), I was surprised by how comfortable I felt in front of Catherine's lens. She really let us be ourselves and joyfully captured all the silliness that makes us who we are. After talking with a couple of photographers, we knew Ian was the perfect match. He is very personable, professional, and had great photos! We also LOVED the fact he provided us with our photos on a disc automatically, rather than charging for this as many other photographers do. We also appreciated the fact he did not include the price of an album in his fees. While he offered this as a service, it was not mandatory, like many of the other people we looked at. We just got our photos back tonight and could not be happier. We could not wait to yelp him! We highly recommend his services and also loved the fact he was the one who recommended our florist who also turned out to be simply amazing (Chestnut and Vine in Berkeley).

We were running behind schedule on our wedding day due to a couple of factors but Ian was the voice of calm as he navigated a couple of lost key guests, he directed people with great command after our ceremony and tried as hard as he could to get us to the reception on time. I heard him making jokes with my guests and he was very professional through the whole event. we just got our pictures back and they are perfect. I didn't point out the people who are very close and important to us but Ian picked up on it and captured them, together, in pictures that make me cry with joy. Daniel took our proposal / engagement photos, even coordinating with my fiancée on locations and…read moretiming of the proposal. My SO had asked for a more intimate, outdoor area to propose at, and Daniel recommended an amazing hidden spot by the cliffsides of Big Sur. Kudos to the amount of coordination, especially when there is no WiFi / cell service in Big Sur, necessitating a lot of planning beforehand on timing, location, backup location, etc. What we most enjoyed about working with Daniel is how natural and fun he makes it - I often feel awkward taking portraits / photos, but I didn't feel uncomfortable at all during the session! He gave some guidance on some poses / things to do, but otherwise we loved how he could just capture intimate moments! Moving to Garrapata Beach, we managed to catch an amazing Golden Hour that translated to some epic photos! Turnaround on the photos was surprisingly quick - we got engaged on a Saturday and the photos were ready by Monday! The photos turned out so fantastically that we decided to not do another engagement photoshoot. Part of the package my fiancée got included a champagne bottle for us to enjoy!
