Pastor Jeff Redlin is an inspiring preacher. Just wish they'd read from a more contemporary Bible translation such as the NIV. No. The KJV is NOT the most accurate accurate or inspired translation. While they are biblically sound, you will find over time that this church cares far more about…read moreappearances than they do about about true fellowship and discipleship. It seems that the majority of the people there are students from the PCC college and that they really don't want to be there. Everyone wears a suit and tie, there is always at least one special music, and the whole thing is recorded. It felt like attending a performance; not like church at all. Also, they insist on using the KJV despite the hard to understand language and preach that modern translations are evil. That was the last straw for me. So sad because it could have been so good, but my family and I will be looking for a true church to be a part of, not a well-polished and tradition-stuck performance to attend.

I attended Campus Church for several months in 2021. I was mistreated by their senior pastor…read morebecause I am divorced. I was dismayed that a pastor of such a large church was so incompetent and cold in dealing with hurting people. He never offered to pray with me, nor did he show any empathy or sympathy. Sadly, he couldn't have cared less about me as an individual human being. I confided in him that my wife divorced me in 2006, but the Campus Church pastor couldn't have cared less, even scolding me for saying that I hoped to find a wife. I do not recommend this church to anyone because there is no genuine love or compassion for individual people. To add insult to injury, I was so hurt that I criticized the church on social media. I felt bad months later and contacted the pastors of Campus Church, apologizing and asking if I could please come back to church, but they cold-heartedly refused. This is how a cult operates, not a genuine New Testament church. There is no forgiveness or second chances at Campus Church. Furthermore, they do not preach a free grace Gospel at Campus Church. They teach a wrong understanding of what it means to repent (see pages 60-62 of their booklet titled: "John & Romans" for proof). Campus Church errantly teaches that you are not really saved unless you've turned away from your sinful bad habits; and that you must submit to follow and obey Christ to get to Heaven, which is works and not grace. When I attended the church, their senior pastor announced on a Sunday to everyone about a class to learn how to more effectively share the Gospel with lost sinners, but he said it will cost you $10. I was sickened that a church which took in well over a million dollars in 2020-2021 was charging members to learn how to share the Gospel. Please avoid this place at all cost! Campus Church is really a chapel for their students at PCC, and not an authentic church in the normal sense of the word. You will be disappointed, as I still am. I regret ever stepping foot in their door. Thank you for reading.

Instead of feeling embraced by a community that preaches love and acceptance, I encountered discrimination that left me deeply disappointed. A church should be a place where everyone feels valued, regardless of their background, personal beliefs, or appearance. However, I was treated differently, making me feel unwelcome rather than uplifted. This kind of behavior does not reflect the core principles of faith, kindness, and unity that churches should uphold. No one should ever walk into a place of worship and feel judged or excluded. If Olive Baptist Church truly seeks to spread the love of Christ, they need to take a hard look at how they treat individuals who come through their doors. I hope they will reflect on their actions and work toward fostering an environment of genuine inclusivity. I would not recommend this church to anyone looking for a place of acceptance and community.

The time and effort as well as the safety precautions that were put into making this event come to fruition were mind blowing. I was greeted warmly by both the Pastor and his wife (Pastor Gary & JoAnn Porter) and immediately felt as if I was part of the Encounter Church Family. This was a great night for all involved both staff and attendees. After this event I decided to check out a live stream video ( YouTube: Encounter Church Pensacola, Fl) and immediately knew that I had found a spiritual home. Pastor Gary's message was insightful and concise and spoken tenderly with the strength and conviction of a man who truly believed in the message he was conveying. If you are searching for your spiritual home I suggest wholeheartedly that you consider Encounter Church as that home.
