Anyone with a baby in Paris knows how ridiculously limited the selection of good, quality baby…read moresupplies is here. I mean what's the deal? Why isn't there a central store, a la Babies R'Us, with the latest and best brands from around the world in a central location in Paris?
Buying our first set of baby supplies was like piecing a puzzle together, we had to go to like a zillion different shops scattered all over the city for the most basic things, and even then we didn't really find what we wanted and wound up ordering a bunch of stuff online.
Unfortunately, the most comprehensive, centrally located baby supplies shop is Aubert. I say unfortunately because their selection only scratches the surface in strollers, toys, high-chairs, beds, etc.
Don't get me wrong, they have a ton of stuff --but it's NOT ENOUGH! It's like composing a salad with the traditional ingredients, but none of the exciting, palate percolating elements that you know they have in the salad bars at Whole Foods for example! (I know it was a little random, but I hope that analogy makes sense to you).
Despite numerous passages chez Aubert, I think I've only ever purchased one or two things since I can never find what I want, and to boot, it's totally expensive and the service leaves much to be desired.
