This is where kids learn traffic rules and how to maneuver through realistic-looking traffic obstacles. Basically, you grab a paddle go kart, called a skelter in Dutch, and make your way around a miniature traffic park. And who says it's only fun for kids? The house in the hill: This indoor playground is made to look like grandma and grandpa's home and uses the child's imagination of it's fantastic play potential. It has secret passageways, crazy bathroom parties, trampolines, and more. This definitely is the ultimate indoor playground. Swan boats: There's something about sitting in a plastic swan and floating on a lake with good company. Our favorite game was to race the other swans on the lake. Word of warning: this activity can be exhausting for those paddling. Children can spend an entire day at this park and still feel the need to return for more. I've lived here for almost 10 years and come from Brooklyn, so I have a pretty thick skin, but they were especially clumsy and obvious about it. I speak Dutch but I have an accent, and I'm a woman and look young, so people tend to make assumptions, but it's their loss. I'm an experienced fighter (taekwon do for 25 years, competition, refereed, taught self defense and all that), but am taking up boxing to learn a new style and work on my arms. Sadly, I hit them in a moment where what I wanted wasn't in stock (odd because they had a great selection of Bromptons on the shelf already but maybe that's why all the tyre and brooks saddle I wanted was out). No problem. I'm having a problem with my rear dynamo light on my Brompton. Dude there helped me debug it (lights broken). Noticed I had an aftermarket part on my bike and said, hey I have some stuff from NOV Design for your bike. If you don't know they are a high end parts maker out of Korea - kinda hard to come by. He goes and pulls three boxes full of parts! Amazing! I had to stop myself from buying one of everything. Totally great! They also rent bikes here too if you need one on visit. Good people + Good parts = Good shop. It's that simple. But wait, then: Good people = Good shop - Good parts. Good (people) = Good (shop - parts). people = shop - parts. Ok forget my equation. It's still a great shop.
