I will never understand why I have to pay to drive on a road that my taxes pay to build. 'Merica. Cash only! It's funny that we expect even small businesses to accept cards, but a government run, profit-only cash cow doesn't. They are not friendly when you pay with all pennies. :). Fun fact: the original tollbooth was created to pay for the road, and then stop charging once the road was paid for. But, because this is America, where every dollar that we earn and spend is taxed (don't even get me started on license renewals and car registration fees), they just decided to keep charging the toll even after the road was paid for. I can't believe I had to pay $20.00 dollars to drive thru Pennsyltucky on the worst roads in the nation. Ohio has A LOT better turnpike and it only costs 6 dollars to drive through the entire state. The rest of civilized society has credit card readers at tolls. Who in the hell carries 30 dollars for tolls!!? read more
