Roter Rabe came up on a map and we walked down the wide Kottbusser Strasse to the Spree river. Here on a sharp corner with a small outdoor beer garden is a place you might not see. A small doorway takes you into a dark bar. We sat on the street and waited. When we got the cocktail list, we knew we chose the right joint and our brains got excited for our dopamine moment. Drinks are good too. Not sure if they serve food, we only ordered hookah and drink. They served complimentary peanuts with our drinks. Well done Berlin…read more If there's anything I love more than a good cocktail, it's an almost secret bar. A massive steel door conceals the magic within. Ring the doorbell to be let in. Brightly illuminated in red lights with the haze of cigarette smoke in the distance and loud music thumpin in your ears, Reingold is THE spot for locals and tourists alike. I heard a mix of international languages being spoken here and that made me sip my cocktail in great pleasure. The cocktail list is alluringly extensive and everything looks so GOOD. You can't go wrong with a floral Aviation, a citrusy Dartmoor Smash, a boozy Old Fashioned or gin martini (2 olives please!) and even a Vera Cruz that's dessert like with tequila and coffee is very well balanced. I made sure to chat up Shaba, our phenomenal bartender and after a couple of rounds, we were best friends. We ended the night with tequila shots on the house. EPIC.
