Management or DM or something has changed. The lettuce wraps are our go to but why the lettuce pieces are tiny idk. They don't give you enough either and never give enough sauce. What happened to the days when they mixed the sauce to your liking at your table? They no longer offer the seaweed salad which I was bummed about. Hubby got Mongolian beef, daughter got beef and broccoli and I got Pad Thai. All were good but portions are much smaller than they used to be. The Asian Caesar was also yummy. Service has changed as well. Took a while for us to get our initial drinks, and 30 min to get something in front of us to munch on. Watched another server hold up a wall for at least 20 min. The server that brought our food over didn't k ow better than to reach across the whole table to hand people their food. For PF Chang's, they need to up their game back to where it used to be. I love this PF Changes location. What makes it different than other chain locations? Well, the building concept is full of light from floor to ceiling windows. It gives provides a great setting for visiting. Located near I-35, Scott & White hospital, and numerous rehab facilities, this is a good location to either dine in or pick up to go. Our server Jonathan was educated and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the Mongolian bowl and Lettuce Wraps. Perfectly cooked and presentation was lovely. All of the staff were attentive to provide all that we needed. I was in town to visit a old friend. So... Here we go again. I was contacted by the operating partner Calvin Leslie who invited us again to make up for the bad experience we had before. It was a home run this time. I don't want to be too picky, but the hostess may be new and nervous and stiff, but we were promptly seated as we checked in at our reservation time. Our server Jesse was incredible. Everything you could ask for to make you comfortable. He was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and accommodating to our requests. We had the Dynamite roll and the Handmade Dumplings for appetizers. The roll was good as before. We got the dumplings steamed. It was a little doughy still. Wasn't a fan of it. I would suggest get the pan fried version instead. For the main course I finally got my Pad Thai and my partner got the Fried Rice and Oolong Chilean Sea Bass. I did have to add more soy sauce to the sea bass but it was so good. It was perfectly cooked and I highly recommend it. We had the Fire and Ice and the Bao Donuts for dessert. They are good. Mr Leslie was very present all around the restaurant. We were seated and it was about 20 minutes before we were greeted and drinks were taken along with order. Took awhile before we got our drinks. We didn't get our appetizer and we had to ask for it when our entrees were served. Food was not hot, barely warm. Server never came back to ask how everything was. Spicy chicken was not spicy. My husbands 3rd drink was watered down. 123.00 for 2 people should have been a lot better service. read more

We frequent this location several times a month and have become very disappointed in the food. Our service is great but the sushi has begun to taste terrible. They seem to be premaking it and refrigerating it. It comes out dry and falling apart. They also need to quit overcooking the Mongolian beef. Nice place, good service sub par food. Been visiting Changs on and off for over 20 years. Today's food was radically different than previous visits. Egg rolls were mush. Fried rice was tasteless. Beef and broccoli was tasteless and beef was extremely tough. Will find it difficult to ever go back to any Changs again. read more

Very expensive and very good. The service is excellent. I had a bowl that was awesome. I can't recall the name off the top of my head but everything nested in a bowl of rice, glass, noodles. I also would recommend crab rangoon and dumplings. My mother and sister like the honey chicken which they said was awesome. So plentiful they were able to share a bowl. It is a quiet place, refreshing to not have to speak over music and the loud crowd. read more

I've dined at PF Changs multiple times in the past and I just go for the food, service is typically mediocre - but on this occasion I had the pleasure of being served by Maddie, she was the best server I've had in a long time and I wanted to post this in hopes that management sees it. P.F. Chang's is one of the few places in town that my wife and I consistently dine. We like to set at the bar because of Beth and Layla. Last night we had lettuce wraps and shared an entree of the Chang's Spicy Chicken from the lite menu. It was very good. I enjoy the Asian pear Mojito. Drinks are always good and the bartenders Beth and Layla are always on point. It was really busy last night, but the service and food quality was still top notch. I read a lot of negative reviews from a few months ago. We never experienced this , but we always set at the bar most places we go and find that you get the best service there. Regardless it seems like they are doing much better and the restaurant looks to be busier in the main dining area which is a good indicator that they are doing things right. read more

I love the P.F. Chang's and have eaten at probably eight or nine different franchises over the United States... We have eaten at the wake of wine at least nine or 10 times now... The one in Waco is subpar to other locations by far. The servers are nowhere near as polished as other areas, but since I have worked in food service I know that comes down to management. We never had a manager come visit us at our table, we received our appetizer after our entrée, and the customer service skills are lacking. Our server was more interested in doing her side work to close than serving us. We arrived an hour and a half before close! I could understand if we were there 20 minutes before close. The cooks in the kitchen apparently made big bowls of food for everybody to eat on and take home. (I have video). This is frustrating when my food was not made timely. I don't want to come to a restaurant and see all of the employees and Cooks eating around my food and using their bare hands to do so.... employees and management seemed more intent on communicating and standing around than taking care of customers. read more

We went here for lunch. Had the Mongolian beef and crispy honey chicken and pot stickers. All were great and service was great as well. I was disappointed to see how much they have cut the menu down. Also it was not served family style like it used to it was individual rice bowls. Not sure if dinner would be different. I recommend. Good food. read more

We have gotten take out but today was the first time we sat inside. The appetizers were so fresh and delicious. Potstickers, bbq ribs and dynamite shrimp are all great choices. We also recommend either of the mojitos but my favorite is the coconut. The mains were also delicious. A little skimpy on the beef but I'm putting that to it being graduation and they were very busy. Despite being busy, the service was great. Our server was so friendly and nice. Definitely recommend!! read more

We have given this establishment several tries, hoping it would improve. We are done going here. Never really very busy (understandably why), it takes a very long time to get served, the excuse is always that the kitchen is backed up. The consistency and quality of the food is mediocre at best. Been a while since we have been to one of these. First, we got there about 5pm. Three quarters of the dining room was empty. We were told we needed to wait while they cleaned off a table. After waiting about 10 minutes, we were seated at a table we had seen while waiting and it did not need to be cleaned. We ordered lettuce wraps to start. Since these are a staple here you expect them to be good. They were pretty good. I ordered a bowl of hot and sour soup. It used to be much better. There used to be a hint of spice but no more. Soup was kind of bland and was served warm rather than hot. We also had pad tai and this dish too was only ok. The only standout was the pricing. My dinner partner and i agreed we could spend as much at a local asian restaurant, have better food and much much more. Service was ok. Hostess seem a Bit put off by our presence but once at the table was better. All in all a disappointing visit and probably wont return. You will do much better with the many small Chinese restaurants in the area. read more

Ok, this is the best darn Mongolian beef ever!!! Cooked to perfection. I don't know why there are bad reviews- these guys are great!! Made me laugh as I walked through the door, came to the table right away, and checked on us continuously. We have meant to come here forever, but just got a chance on the way home from work today. I really wish I had stopped in here before. I can see why mama fu's went out of business. Everyone comes here!! The hot and sour soup is missing the green onions and vinegar, so I just asked for a pinch on the side. Food quality = 2.6 It was barely warm when delivered to table. Appeared good. Food Taste = 2.5 They have some peculiar flowery seasonings of some sort. It was edible but far from good. Food quantity vs price = 2.0 For $18 -20 entree it left me hungry. Wife and I spent $83 ($95 with tip) on appetizer 2 vegetable rolls Sesame Chicken and Kung Pow chicken with water to drink. SERVICE- She was nice and considerate and we were her only table. Even so she took a fair quantity of time to deliver items occasionally. The team was folding and wrapping silverware at one of the best tables overlooking water at windows. Distracting to guests and other team members. AMBIANCE = 2.3 Loud open and uncomfortable seating. They sat us at a 2 person booth and I was so far from table and no way to get closer. I love a good booth but they don't have one. Moved to table. Chairs were uncomfortable and seem disproportionate to table height. Plain Concrete floors and no acoustic tiles for noise dampening. Common to many restaurants today. THIS WAS OUR FIRST AND WILL BE OUR LAST VISIT TO THIS PLACE. We get much better food quality taste and quantity for price at Panda Express and on Carnival Cruise ships. Went here on Sunday 6/30 for a nice lunch. Our server Aryssa recommended the Chef's Feast, commented that it was " a great deal." And, for $18 a person, it would have been. However, for some reason, our meals were rung up as each item individually. We literally each (3 of us) ordered a soup or salad, a shared appetizer, and an entree off of the special menu. I guess since we did not say "please ring us up at the Chef's Feast price" we did not get the deal? I had a $20 Chang's Cash, so I used that, and did not notice that we were overcharged by over $23! Well, not including tip, because of course you tip 20%, even when you get overcharged. I wish I had noticed at the restaurant, but honestly, why should I have to check and see if a national chain is overcharging me. Shouldn't I be able to trust them? Obviously not. Food was good, restaurant was clean and nice as always, but the overcharging makes me think I can eat at any of the 6 other places within 200 yards of this place and not get ripped off. I hate writing one star reviews but I had to for this place. Waco has waited a long for an upscale Asian restaurant. The service was pretty good and the staff was really friendly. This was the only saving grace for this place. We ordered appetizers avocado lobster roll, California roll and chicken lettuce wraps. Lobster roll was really good but the sushi rolls were rolled loosely. Sushi rolls were good overall. Lettuce wraps were excellent. Our main entrees were subpar. The Sichuan beef was way over cooked. The beef turned out to be like beef jerky. The Thai curry was over sauced with coconut milk and the pressed tofu had no flavor. PF Chang's Spicey chicken was more like orange chicken. Stir fried eggplant was ok. Stir fried brussel sprouts was overly grease and lack of taste. Plus I have never heard of brussel sprouts on an Asia menu. All the sauces was over thickened from corn starch. Overall very clean and good service but the food is not good. read more

Came to eat on a Monday night, it was slow but the service was quick and the food was great! We got the Chicken Lettuce wraps, Dynamite Shrimp, California Roll and Shrimp Chicken Fried Rice and Apple Crunch for dessert. I'm probably stretching it giving four stars, but the reason is because the service was very good. Alexis took great care of me. However (and this is a big COMMA) the egg drop soup tasted canned. (How is that possible?) It literally tasted like it came out of a can. The Kung Pao Chicken made up for it. I will say that. The lo mein was meh, because it had nothing in it but noodles and soy sauce and some sort of seasoning that made it taste pretty good . . . but no vegetables whatsoever! Ironically, the reason I even stopped for lunch there today in my travels is because I was dying for some of their cauliflower. Guess what? They took that off the menu a year ago. I have to ask, "Why!?" (If anyone knows the answer to this question, I would greatly appreciate one, because Alexis even told me that she said multiple people complain about that, but apparently it was a "corporate" decision, and nobody's telling them that people are complaining. ‍ This was my fifth P.F. That being said ordered one of seasonal specials, Cantonese-Style Lobster way too salty to eat, and I like salty, they did take it off our bill. Could have been great, but.... My wife's favorite place. A good variety of dishes, many portion options as well. A regular restaurant in our repertoire for Chinese food. Service was attentive. I always gauge that by how the server watches the water glasses. I drink a lot of water, usually 2+ glasses at every restaurant. So, if the server is paying attention, my glass is never quite empty. Our food was very good !! We always get the shrimp dumplings with the sauce and they come out sizzling. Unfortunately they have changed this and now come out in a bowl. It's like ordering fajitas and they bring them out not sizzling....booooo. The staff was very polite and very professional. Dumpling fraud, I can't certify this! Been here many times, but had to say something today. Today, Tues November 24 for lunch (I ordered Ubereats pickup) I noticed my "handmade" shrimp dumplings looked different from what they normally are. They looked like generic shrimp wontons, a little formless with very thin looking wrapper (see pic and compare with what's on the menu). Now it didn't taste bad, but for the premium price you pay for these so called "handmade", I'm disappointed that today my "handmade" shrimp dumplings I ordered today were not made with fresh rolled dough, but used pre-made wonton wrappers! Now I've been here many times and have enjoyed these shrimp dumplings so I know what the difference is. Usually the dumplings are nicely formed, and the dough is thick and chewy, you know it's fresh dough. And I'm Asian so I know the difference between pre-made wonton wrappers and hand rolled dough. If I wanted dumplings with pre-made wrappers I could make them at home myself. I really hope this was just some one-time fluke and not cutting corners and being lazy. If so then it shouldn't be advertised as "handmade" and cost $10.00 for 6 of these. In other news, today's chicken lettuce wraps had tiny pieces of lettuce which looked like the ends of lettuce couldn't really hold much filling at all. That was disappointing too - my mom's favorite but we had to eat them on a plate with a fork. Basically lettuce pieces in a bowl with the ground meat. I wish I took a pic of that.
