Only place last minute that would seat us for a birthday party. But besides that I would not come here. I am Asian and I guess I expect a little too much from a place that serves Asian cuisines. I have gone to other Chinese hole in the wall restaurants that serve better food. The serve was horrible. Yes, we were greeted upon arrival by someone. When we wanted to grab a drink at the bar, the bartender took forever to even acknowledge us. We even had to wave her down. Let's just say her tips told her how bad she was. We finally got seated and the waitress was alright. She got our food appetizer order first and when those were served, she proceeded to get our entree orders. Not once did she ask us if we wanted another alcoholic beverage or refilled our water. Would not come back to PF Changs. Mediocre food that is over priced. read more

Absolutely disappointed by the lack of quality in both food and service. My husband and I ordered take out for two entrees with extra sauce and once home we realized that both dishes were lacking any sauce at all. When we called to voice our complaint, the manager refused to believe us and was quite rude. After asking for a refund, the manager stated that the only thing she could offer was a gift card for our inconvenience (which was only worth $10). This was my very first experience in PF Chang's and I am happy to say that I enjoyed the food & service. We ordered cauliflower tempura, pork steamed dumplings, and dynamite shrimp for starters. My favorite was dynamite shrimp. For main course, we selected shrimp fried rice, laumein, and Singapore Chicken. The fried rice and noodles were okay, but the sinagapore chicken was really good. I would have appreciated if the portion for the chicken was a little more and steamed rice quite didn't go well with it as a side because the chicken was too dry. It was my impression that the food here is more of fusion between American and Chinese. All in all some items tasted good, some were okay. Decided to do take out / delivery from PF Chang's in Troy Michigan. I have been eating at PF Chang's restaurant's for a really long time. Generally I have found them consistent and good food. This last experience was absolutely horrible. We ordered several dishes, they all totally sucked. The noodles were spaghettis with some kind of tasteless brown color, there wasn't really any sauce, the friend rice looked like they threw some soy sauce on the rice, maybe it saw a wok, maybe not. The other dishes were all terrible too. The fried foods were not at all crispy, mushy. I did eat my orange chicken, I was very hungry. It was very greasy, absorbed the oil that it was fried in. Best part of it all (just kidding) was getting up at 3:00 am sick to my stomach. I can't remember the last time I ate something from a restaurant that made me that ill. There quality control totally broke down on this meal. Never going back there again. I essentially threw away over $100 on this awful meal. read more

I get they are understaffed but clearly looking at a guest and then blatantly ignoring them is a whole other issue not pertaining to "being short staffed". I haven't been to a P.F. Chang in a long time but decided to try one out of state. This place doesn't disappoint. The ambience screams grown and sexy mixed with the best impression of a first date type of place. Dimly lit with a candle haze type of vibe. The food came out quickly with great customer service. I had the Salmon and my sister had the shrimp. I tried both of the dishes and found my renewed mindset to start back visiting P.F. The Salmon was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sweetness to not be overpowering. The bok choy was cooked just right with a slight crunch like I like. The shrimp was seasoned very well. And the sauce took it to the moon with flavor. The sauce complimented it very well that every bite you had to make a conscience decision to dip or not to dip. It was difficult to have a conversation with my husband because the music was loud and obnoxious. In an upscale restaurant you expect music that allows for easy conversation and hopefully a bit of the Asian culture (if it's an Asian restaurant). This, if anything, was a rock fusion with loud percussion (drums) in a repetitive monotony of rhythms. After a few requests, it seemed the management turned the music down a bit, but someone must have been turning it back up in between songs. I love Chinese food and do not typically frequent chains for Chinese... but I make an exception for PF Changs. I came on a Friday night without a reservation. We were told the wait for two was only going to be 15 minutes, so we grabbed a spot at the bar for a drink. Our wait ended up being closer to ~35 minutes, which was fine for us since we had a seat and a drink, but a bit annoying. The atmosphere here is very nice; dark, interesting decor, classier. Good for a date night. I will say I thought it was strange the uniform for servers is jeans. Not my favorite choice. Then again, this location is in a mall so I guess it fits. Now for the food. We ordered the Chicken lettuce wraps, shrimp dumplings, and the lobster avocado roll. All were excellent! You get a pretty large helping for the lettuce wraps. The lobster avocado roll is awesome too, there's apparently an aioli type sauce in it. Yum. For an entree we split the shrimp with lobster sauce and the fried rice. The sauce was so tasty and the fried rice helping was huge too. I was very happy with our choices. They also have a pretty decent selection of beers/wines. Very attentive service. I used to go here more than I do now (I probably go to Pei Wei more than PF Chang's) but was meeting a friend for lunch and I can walk here from work (bonus). I have a few free appetizer coupons left from years ago, when you used to be able to take their surveys on your receipts, so we got the chicken lettuce wraps - kinda pricey at $8.95, but always delicious. I got the honey chicken with white rice, and hot and sour soup. Your choices with your lunch entree are hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, or a mixed salad, which I think is new. Service was great - my water glass was never empty - until the end, when she seemed to have drifted off somewhere. We also split the mini tiramisu and the chocolate peanut butter crunch cake for dessert ($2.95) each, which were delicious. I guess they got rid of their shooter / shot glass desserts though, I always liked those. $2.95 is a pretty good deal for a small slice of tiramisu or cake, though. I'd be back to this location when I want to go somewhere sit-down in the mall for lunch. read more

I meet a friend here for diner and it wasn't worth the drive as far as the food went. Catching up with my friend was worth the drive however. Since the last time I went to a PF Chang's, the gluten free menu has decreased in number of options and it even has a MASSIVE error on it. More on the error later. I ordered egg drop soup to start and the gluten free version of chicken lettuce wraps. The soup came out quickly and it was warm. It looked like correct. My friend ordered the wonton soup. It's been a while since I saw it but it looked okay. Though mostly the wontons instead of soup. The lettuce wraps came out after that. We both ordered the lettuce wraps, hers just had gluten in it. Hers looked correct and the chicken, mushrooms and water chestnuts were all golden in color. She also had what looked like half a head of iceberg. My lettuce wraps came out second. They were mostly water chestnuts with little amounts of chicken. They were not golden in color and even before I added the sauce that came in the side, they were so salty. I guess this is why I don't eat at PF Chang's all that often. When my plate came out, I thought that I would be taking some home however given that there was little chicken, I ate it all. Now for the MASSIVE error. PF Chang's has removed the gluten free chocolate dome. They advertise that they have a gluten free dessert and in actuality they don't. According to our helpful waiter, PF Chang's is supposed to be getting a replacement dessert but he didn't know when. Also, he didn't know if it was going to be a gluten free dessert or just a replacement dessert. At this point, I'm not sure when I will be back because there's no dessert and the gluten free options are so much less then they were before. I will have to study the menu and probably end up going if my friends want to go. Definitely not on my top 10 choices for dinner. read more

Finally tried PF Chang's for the first time, and it reminded me why I never ever tried it in the past. Because it was actually pretty bad experience. Food was edible, that's why I am giving it two stars. The atmosphere was good. It's pretty busy restaurant, and I really don't understand why it's so popular. Nothing we ordered was good. In my opinion, it's pricy for the quality of food. We ordered the kimchi fries, miso ramen with chicken, and tonkatsu ramen. For the love of food god, why would you put cheese on a kimchi fries?!?! It is very small portion and it cost about $7. I have never had such bad kimchi fries in the past. Ramen soup is very very thick. Added chicken is bland. Noodles are overcooked and broken into pieces. The drink i had was just sugary. Service was just fine. It's really a disappointment for such a famous chain. read more

The TGI Friday's of Asian cuisine. I haven't been to this P.F. Chang's since my high school days because of it's close proximity and now I remember why. My friend got the surf and turf with shrimp, lobster and filet mignon. The shrimp and lobster came fried or breaded, whatever it was it made my stomach instantly regret it. I got the Singapore black pepper chicken, not sure how it's possible to severly overcook small pieces of chicken. The portion to price ration is way off as $27 gets maybe a single portion for the surf and turf. I feel they're only allowed to charge these prices because they're located outside Somerset. I can get better food at my favorite local Asian food takeout than here. I gave 2 stars because the ambiance is very nice and our waitress, Lisa was very pleasant. Save your money and go to your favorite takeout spot. read more

I waited 18 mins before I walked up to the hostesses saying can I just grab my food since I already paid for it. She said one second and looked for someone. Guy handed me the bag. I didn't even looked I said is the ginger beer in there? He said oh yeah I forgot. Went to the back of the kitchen about 4-6 mins He hands me a children's cup. PF Chang's is hit or miss depending on the night. I am basing this on my overall experience of eating there about 10x over the last few years. They handled the pandemic very well. Their drive up COVID put in your car service was good. I always get the Mongolian beef or kung pao chicken. The chicken lettuce wraps are a must. I would also recommend the spring rolls and the egg drop soup. All my go to. The fried rice with chicken is better than the veggie option. Don't love the chicken quality they put into the rice though. Try the trio sauce. read more

I ordered P.F. Chang's via DoorDash to celebrate Chinese New Year, and it was fantastic! I ordered fully meatless (I was with my mom, and she's a strict veg). The food was prepared really well -- veggies were seasoned & cooked perfectly, and it was packaged really well. I absolutely love Asian food, and while this restaurant can get expensive, it's worth every penny. One of my favorites is the stir-fry eggplant. I ordered it without rice or noodles since I had ordered the Signature Lo Mein, and the eggplant was the ideal complement to the noodles & vegetables. Another amazing item was the Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts. Charred to a crisp and combined with spicy sauce & peanuts. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!! I would definitely order again, and next time, I'll add dessert instead of the Vegetable Spring Rolls. They were fine & the sauce was really good. But it wasn't anything to write home about -- unlike everything else! read more

A good upscale, albeit chain, Chinese restaurant. The service here was top notch, drinks were always refilled before we were finished with them and the food comes out expeditiously. We got the mongolian beef and sesame chicken and both were really tasty, lunch portions were large enough to feel full, but don't come here expecting your plate to be loaded like at a normal Chinese restaurant. Try the brown rice here, it tastes just like white rice and much healthier! read more

I like the harvest curry here (surprisingly, I really like it) but we had take out and it was such a small portion and didn't even taste the same...it was 1/2 full! WTF! We also had changs spicy chicken, which was good. The Brussel sprouts were ok & I think the Cesar salad would taste better if we ate in. I also ordered the coconut drink...yak! I'm leaving a 1 star and I hope to god corporate reads this. You purchase PF changs just to lower quality of the dishes, cut corners for profitability while increasing prices and give us less. You have turned the beautiful ambiance into a casual Pei Wei type ambiance, cheap looking menus, with super bright lights on inside now, that I don't want to spend more than 15 minutes dinning in let alone a Saturday night... You also increased the seating inside by 15%, hmm I wonder why?? The dishes are a joke, to give you an example of corners being cut, you decreased the size of the entree plates by 20% to make it look as if we are actually receiving 20% more food, you don't include the julienned cucumbers with the garlic noodles anymore, the 4 sauces on the table that the server would mix together for you upon seating are gone. 4 dishes and my bill was 75 bucks.. You really think customers don't notice this? Our server indicated to us, all they receive is negative feedback about the changes... Troy mi PF Changs is one of the top 5 producing locations for you from my understanding.. I promise, you will soon see a decrease in numbers across the board. Customers of PF changs that have been loyal for years are not going to settle for the cheap commercial, chain, corporate BS that you are turning this place into. People are not stupid, they notice crap when they get it. Keep it up, only one you're hurting is yourself. That's why you no longer have 2 and 3 hour wait times at this location.. Putting servers in those cheap green T-shirts that say "farm to table" mean nothing. Just a stupid marketing ploy. Increase the prices and cheapen the look and dishes and think no one will notice. Who ever made this brilliant marketing decision, should resign from the company and get a swift slap across the face as a company parting gift. I've been here a couple times in the past year and I've never had great service, but tonight the service we had was good. I was surprised by reading all the extremely negative reviews of this place that mostly commented on negative changes and servers wearing jeans and a t shirt, being too casual. Maybe they were at the wrong place because the restaurant is very nice and romantically lit and the servers were wearing black button ups with black dress pants. It's definitely expensive but I think the Chang's for Two is a great deal. My boyfriend was raving about the Great Wall of Chocolate and it was good but I've had better chocolate cakes. The fried rice I got was horribly mushy and bland, but the lo mein my boyfriend got was good (he asked for it to be spicy, I recommend doing that). All in all this experience was decent. The service improved but the fried rice was bad. I'll probably end up back here again and just order something else; they have plenty of options. read more

One of my favorite restaurants but I don't come often enough. First time here ever since they remodeled and I love what they have done!!! The bar made such a huge difference and opened it up more, I wouldn't mind sitting there now rather then before it was small and dark over there. As pictured, everything was so good. Just how I remembered P.F. Chang's to be. One item that was not pictured was a soup that was ordered the hot & sour soup. It had a bit of an after taste. Other then that, great service and food. On Christmas we ordered the preset dinner for 2 for delivery. It was lots of food for a very reasonable price. It was actually more than enough for 4 people. The wait was a little long but taking into account it was a holiday, it was understandable. The food was good. It is chain food, not real authentic, but tasty. read more

Walk in the door and *everyone* must create a reservation that will be (permanently?) in their database storing your name and phone number (sorry, my personal info is worth more than a table in a restaurant, especially to a hacker). Get a table. Want a menu? Sorry, no more menus! Seriously? Scan the QR code and get a 4" version on your cellphone (seniors with a flip-phone or a Jitterbug or no smartphone need not bother). We never seem to see the same people working, so their staff turnover seems to be 100%. Some of their dishes are our favorites, but there are plenty of other restaurants around. Went to PF Changs for a co-worker's retirement luncheon, my first visit to a PF Changs ever. Visually it was nice. A big restaurant centrally located in a swanky mall. Our server was helpful and quick, given that she was helping a party of 20-plus individuals who mostly asked for separate checks. I wasn't too hungry, so I just ordered egg rolls and a seared tuna appetizer. It was satisfying, but with drink and tip my bill came out to be over $20. Go to PF Changs for the atmosphere and camaraderie if you're with a group of people. Me, I'm a traditionalist- the best Chinese restaurants are the small family hole-in-the-walls with the family yelling orders to each other in Chinese and popo (grandmother) making the dumplings by hand on a empty table.
