I was greeted fine the server was up to ask for drinks and things, I ordered soup from that time a different person comes to give the soup and I don't see my server again to take dinner order for 15 minutes after we finished the soup. The lo mein was over cooked and I didn't want to say anything because I was hungry and didn't want to wait. I asked the server to give us extra plates so we can share the dishes we ordered and he didn't get one for my son. As if he wasn't there. I know he is 3 but a part off my family. Haven't been to PF Changs in over 5 years. I remember LOVING the food back then. After spending 17 years in Asia, I remember the food here being legit. Yes, it was good however today the rice was really grainy both white and brown rice. Okay, it was worse than grainy it was bad! Rice should be sticky not grainy. Please please use more water when cooking it. All other dishes were fantastic! But really...even uncle ben's is better than this! I think this restaurant needs to stop and completely rework its service approach. I find the food to actually be quite good. It has great flavors, creative modern updated of traditional Chinese favorites, and colorful presentations. Unfortunately these positives are eclipsed by the near exhausting over energy of the dining room and waitstaff. It's a very difficult restaurant for me to relax in. First impressions of this restaurant is of wading through a sea of 100 anxious people waiting for a table. At the hostess station there are so many people milling about that you can't tell who is in line to check in and who is just there to keep pestering the hostess that they have been waiting too long. There was very little in the way of order. Finally after 10 minutes we checked in with our reservation and actually were seated promptly passing people who had clearly been waiting an hour. Tip- get a reservation. Walking to our table you have to go through a gauntlet of seemingly 25 staff criss-crossing at barely under a jog. They don't stop and let the customers pass. You have to negotiate around them. At our table a waitress arrives out of breath and when we can't produce a full table drink order in five seconds (not exaggerated) says she will be back. When she returns she takes our order on the fly without actually coming to a full stop at our table. When we place our food order we have rehearsed so we can give our family's entire $100 dinner order in ten seconds. She leaves without writing anything down. Ten minutes later she returns asking us to recap our order. Appetizers arrived before our first drinks and when I mentioned this to the clearly rushed server they seemed puzzled at if I was asking the appetizers be removed or asking them to check on our drinks that were ordered 20 minutes before. (I just wanted the drinks). Everything eventually arrived and as I said it was good. The restaurant is elegant but quite loud with lots of "Happy Birthday" being sung. I just wish there was a way to get the whole operation to slow down in terms of energy. If the waitstaff could just move at a more relaxed pace and actually stop at tables and take thoughtful orders it would be a much more relaxing restaurant. Unbelievably bad experience. I got there 4 minutes before the order was supposed to be ready. The food was already out. After a less than 10 minute drive home, I found the food to be cold. As everyone already knows, PF Chang's serves Americanized Chinese food. I actually like it just as much as I like authentic Chinese food because my palate is very open to different flavors and textures. My personal favorites here are: Mongolian Beef (not even close to the Mongolian beef served in Chinese restaurants; lightly breaded, very salty, but flavorful); Sea Bass, Dang Dang Noodles, Fried Rice. Overall, in my opinion, majority of dishes are prepared using the same base sauce so they taste almost the same. Also, I agree with other fellow yelpers regarding saltiness of the dishes - I think I bloat overnight after eating at PF Chang because their dishes have excessive amount of sodium. read more

We went here last weekend and the wait time was over an hour! Once we got in, I found the waiters and waitresses to be only ok. During the course of our dinner, we ended having 3 different waiters/waitresses serving us. So I wasn't sure who to leave the tip for. I'm in between 2 - 3 stars here. I came here for dinner a few years ago and really enjoyed the asparagus, I recall. Most recently we came in for lunch. They do have lunch options which run around $10. The portions are TINY and they don't come with anything except rice. I had the Ginger Chicken with Broccoli and it was good, though like everything here, pretty salty. I'd say the best deal for lunch is probably the Lettuce Wraps. Otherwise, you may just want to look into getting a dinner portion and splitting it with someone. It's probably a better deal and you get more food. Our server was not very generous with the water refills so I was very parched (from all the salt!). It was clear he was ready for our party to leave so he could turn over our table. It does get busy. When we left around 12:30 there was a wait- on a Wednesday! So I guess PFC won't be too upset that I plan not to return here for lunch. read more

Just stopped by for dinner with my family. Granted it was a Saturday night and quite busy, but the rudeness of the host staff was enough to turn me around. As I approached the stand I could tell she was already flustered. After standing there while 3 hostesses had a conversation, eventually, one of the acknowledged me... by turning and staring at me. I too can play that game and just stared back. She ultimately was forced to say "what can I help you with?" A bit flabbergasted that that was her initial contact. I responded with "we'd like a table to please". I am not sure what other reason she thought we were there, but then she rolled out the "it will be at least an hour and a half" and went back to the stair. I really was less concerned with the time frame as I was with her attitude. I know P.F. Chang's is a large chain and my $100 meal is going to break them, but that kind of customer service is endemic of many in the service interest. My husband and I have been here three or four times. The first time was in fall 2007 (before our baby came along!) and they seated us in the most gorgeous booth looking straight out at the mountains during sunset. WOW we were really impressed and had a good time that visit and we still remember it as the best visit. Since then, all the visits have been very special "date night" type visits so we're inclined to enjoy ourselves even if the food isn't great-great. Which is really how I'd describe the food. We're not at all Asian food aficionados, so we don't get all huffy that this food is "inauthentic". It seems authentic enough for us. But by and large, it's not particularly tasty. The Lemon Chicken is really pretty forgettable. The Orange Chicken is supposedly spicy enough to merit a special indicator on the menu and that stunned me. It's a LITTLE bit spicy but no way does it need a "warning". My husband had the Moo Goo Gai Pan and he liked it but said it lacked a "certain something", like it needed a bit of a kick. We both went nuts for the Spicy Green Beans when we were there six months ago (and normally I loathe green beans) but then when we were there a few days ago, they were out of beans!!! I was so so so bummed, having looked forward to them since last summer. Not the end of the world but dag, I was bummed. We ordered very forgettable spring rolls in lieu of the green beans. What I do enjoy about this place probably the most is that it's got a really lovely dining room with really lovely mountain views from many of the seating areas. We've also had very pleasant and prompt service the times we've been. HUGE complaint that all by itself knocks a whole star off the grade: The ladies' bathroom always always always has a line. There are at most three stalls, maybe two. When we were there last Thursday, the dining room was about 25% full (mid-afternoon slow period) but both times I tried to use the restroom, there were 5 or 6 women in line. AB.SURD. They have a patio which has a great view of the mountains and overall a pretty large dining area. I always love coming to PF Chang's. This one is spacious and bright as usual, and the service was great. We had the chicken lettuce wraps (guess they don't mix the sauce at table side anymore), the orange peel shrimp and the steamed shrimp dumplings. All of it was so tasty. Of course, the steamed shrimp dumplings and lettuce wrap both have sauces with 1000mg of sodium so you'd expect it to taste good! Also love the taste of their fortune cookies.... read more

Ordered via Grubhub. Nine minutes begore my order was to arrive, PF Change tried to call me to advise me they were out of my menu item. Because I had stepped away from the phone & missed the call, within 4 minutes they had cancelled my order via email, with no explanation, forcing me to call the restaurant to find out what happened. Of course, before discovering they couldn't fill my order, they processed my payment. Now I need to wait 3-5 business days for a refund, I'm out more cash for another online order (elsewhere), and i will need to wait an additional 49-50 mins for that delivery. The only "asian" restaurant I know of that serves Norwegian Salmon and plays Dire Straights over the speakers. The food is not bad, but definitely not authentic. My daughter and I stopped in to have lunch. We ordered chicken lettuce wraps for our appetizer and 2 other meals. While eating the lettuce wraps, my daughter noticed black hair in the chicken mixture. It looked like pubic hair. Well we took a picture and told and showed the waiter. He said, "Oh I see it. I will take it off the bill." That was it. The other 2 meals were fair and nothing to brag about. It could have been less pleasing due to finding the hair in the food. When we were walking out we asked for corporate number to call. The manager came to us and gave us a card showing an email to contact. He didn't even ask if there was anything he could help with. This is BAD business. The waiter didn't say he was sorry and the manager wasn't concerned why we wanted to notify cooperate office. The service was great. Got there at 11:30 am so I really did not expect a wait in line. Well there wasn't one and we were promptly seated. Service was prompt. Showed quickly. Got our order in quickly and got everything right. He got us the extra rice and hot sauce. But then comes the bad part for me and PF Chang's. The food always taste great when I make it here. Yeah yeah I know it's not too hard to screw up white rice. I ordered the usually Chang spicy chicken. It tasted really good. A bit of sweet and some spicy. Four stars for the view - this is one of the best places to dine al fresco. The patio is large with comfortable seating and large umbrellas. On less outdoor friendly days, the inside dining area also has excellent views of the front range. Ask for a table or booth close to the window - on a clear day you can see all the way to Long's Peak. Too bad the food and service don't match the view. On past occasions I've really enjoyed the food. Perhaps they've had major turnover in the kitchen as the food has definitely gone downhill. The chicken lettuce wraps appetizer, once a culinary treat, is now just ordinary - kind of a pile of brown goo (sound appetizing doesn't it). At least the iceberg lettuce was fresh. I ordered the Almond and Cashew Chicken lunch bowl primarily because it was less expensive ($8) than the regular entrees (starting at $11) and because it included soup. The chicken was good and there were a fair number of cashews and veggies (I couldn't recognize any almonds) however the garlic soy sauce was so bland that it ruined the entire dish. This bland mixture was served in a bowl atop a huge mound of overcooked, under-seasoned brown rice. More like mush than rice - it was pretty bad. Service? Well we were greeted right away and were seated promptly. Our server brought drinks right away and our courses paced properly. One problem - and this is major in my book - our server must have missed the day during "server training" where they talked about clearing plates before serving the next course. We had obviously finished off our appetizer when he brought out soup. Instead of clearing the plates, he just set our soup down where ever he could find an open spot. I asked him to take away our finished plates and he mumbled something about how he would come back after he'd delivered everything he had on his tray. What?! This happened again when we received our main course. We ended up piling dirty plates off to the side until he got around to coming back for them. This is inexcusable in my mind especially at a restaurant where you're typically spending $20 or more per person (much more if you have wine) for lunch. So if it's a warm sunny day, I'd recommend the patio at PF Changs - just don't assume that the food will be as satisfying as the view. read more

I'm guessing taking a drink order and an appetizer is too much... They were nice enough to take it off our order. Since we got it after the main course. Friend took it home. Ordered Mongolian scallops. It's cool that although its not on the menu they'll let you substitute scallops for chicken/beef. It was good, but they were a little overcooked I believe.
