A very typical chip shop until recently, now new owners are offering the ultimate Black Country delicacy - battered chips (as made popular by Middletons chippies all over the Black Country). 'Plain' chips are also still offered. If you have never had them, you are in for a treat. Bright orange and with thin batter coating - i know it doesn't sound especially appealing, but you have to try them. Once you've had battered you will never go back!

Either the previous review was written by the owner or is horribly out of date. The chips were nice but the fish was very poor quality with a layer of thick gooey uncooked batter between the fish and main batter. Also quite small. If it was as cheap as the review said then that wouldn't be so bad but it wasn't. They charged me a whole pound for gravy. No more needs to be said.
