Hey gang, long time no reviewing. I've been outta commission for a bit. We were in the mood for some beignets, so here we are. Our server, Chuck, was AWESOME! He immediately made us feel comfortable. He brought us our wine and bread within minutes of our ordering. I had the redfish Perez etufee, a generous portion of redfish filet smothered in a crawfish sauce with veggies on the side , all over a bed of rice. The flavors transported me to New Orleans as soon as the plate was placed in front of me. The spices were spot on, the fish perfectly cooked, the bread nice and warm. You gotta use the bread to sop up the remaining sauce it's just that good! The wife had voodoo chicken, big chunks of white meat chicken in a red sauce served over penne pasta, creole stewed tomatoes, yummy! So much food we had enough for a midnight snack. Topping off the evening with the delicious puff pastry they're known for and what I was hankering for in the first place. The ambiance is very nice, casual but classy at the same time. I suggest reservations so you don't have to wait, but you can always walk in. It's not really that bad a wait, maybe 10 mins. Definitely enjoyed our dinner tonight.
