Then we came upon a rental from Florida West Coast Property Management and got in contact with Aimee Bahk. We knew we had to move quickly and Aimee helped get us through the process with ease! Aimee was friendly and professional. She knew the steps we were required to take for us to be approved as renters. Aimee quickly responded to any questions we had during the process. Once our move was successful, Aimee continued to keep in touch. We only had a couple of maintenance issues, which we considered normal, so we notified Aimee. Her response was fantastic! Aimee quickly got the help we needed for the repairs. On more than one occasion, Aimee would say "I appreciate you" as tenants. Well, we appreciate Aimee and want to thank her for all she has done to make our dream a reality!

You might say we were in an unhealthy, co-dependent relationship with our former management company. As in most relationships, it took a crisis for us to realize how badly our former manager was; our former tenant basically sold the property furniture out from under us and the manager claimed ignorance. Anyway, I digress. We were fortunate to have been referred to Florida West Coast Property Managers ("FWCPM") by a realtor when we were considering selling our property. The difference between our former management company and FWCPM could not be greater. Our manager Aimee Bahk is professional, courteous, and a delight to work with. She has helped us through many difficult situations such as finding new tenants and managing repair and installation work orders. If you are in need of excellent management for your rental property on the Florida west coast, look no further than the staff at Florida West Coast Property Management.

    DO NOT RENT FROM ANMARK REALTY!…read more Anmark Realty is an unethical rental company. Andre & Illiana will make up a fake claim to keep your security deposit once you move out. If you've rented before and had this happen to you, you know how frustrating this is when a rental company does this to you. If they're doing it to me (where I caused no damage, and I'm sure they'll respond that I did in hopes a potential tenant believes them), they're doing it to all of their tenants. If you decide to rent from them, do a move in inspection, take videos and photos of EVERYTHING and make sure your lease reflects a move in inspection. Their lease agreement is littered with items to keep them safe. Push back on items such as automatic annual rent increases, adding language around a move-in inspection, tenant paying their lawyer fees, etc. Anmark has been in business for years. They must keep closing and reopening their Google reviews because of repeated landlord behavior like this - there's no other way a company in business this long would only have 1 other Google review. How do you think they can afford to purchase a super expensive commercial building on Pineapple Ave? It's not through being ethical to tenants. I'm sure they'll reply with a made-up justification, but the important thing is that other potential-tenants see this review, think twice, protect themselves, and go somewhere else. Heck, go to Bold Lofts. They'll return your deposit in its entirety.

    STAY AWAY! Hank can be unprofessional at times and professional when it suits him. He has had the…read moreopportunity over the last 2 years to property manage my investment home. Hank has done absolutley nothing in 24 months except collected his 10% monthly fee. Zero inspections of the property have been done. (Should have been 4, if done every 6 months). Air filters have not been changed in the unit on a regular schedule. (Causes major problems with your HVAC unit). Upon the first move out (since tenant was occupying for 2 years since the day I purchased the property I have had to go to the property 6 times. (What do I pay Hank for???) He sent in a random "handyman" to do touch up paint which had to be done twice, a horrible cleaning company (had to clean twice) and missed the miscellaneous items damaged by the tenant. If I did not look for myself (which I should not have to do) I would be paying out of my own pocket for repairs. There are so many other companies to choose from! Don't say I didn't warn you!!!!!

    We were shown a property that was for rent. We applied for approval and paid $200 (more than we've…read morehad to pay elsewhere in the past or since) for the credit and background checks, all of which went fine. Our application was approved. When we received the proposed lease, we believed several of the terms to be TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. If the landlord approved of a pet and later changed his mind for any reason (not just because the pet was a nuisance, biter, barker, etc.), the landlord could withdraw the approval, and the tenant would have 7 days to get rid of the pet or face eviction. The lease also called for a $100 per day late payment fee for any rent received more than 3 days late. These were changes from the sample lease we had been given previously. Even the broker whose agent showed us the property acknowledged that the terms of the lease were very tough and might not have been intended as written. Also, if the landlord desired to do repairs to the place and felt the tenant had to vacate for the repairs to be done, he could give seven days' notice to vacate. Bottom line: We withdrew our application and found another property. The process was a waste of our time and money. I would recommend that others demand to see a copy of the actual lease (not a sample lease) before applying for approval and paying for the credit/background check.
