Had a backpack of yours for over 35 years. Bought it in 1989- today I'm giving it a funeral. Zippers are all blown out and nobody wants to repair it. It could probably last another 35 years if I could find someone to repair it. This thing has seen 10's of thousands of miles in high mountain peaks. Offshore , in the snow in the rain in the mud. I bought a smaller type of fanny pack which is probably made of the strongest types of nylon and other polymers which stays dry in rain and snow, that I bought at the Mill Valley Cyclery in October of 1988, for my mountain bike trips up Tam......carry a bottle of lemonade and an apple.....I used it in backcountry mountana, carrying beer and weed....even my wallets over the years were stored in this thing on rides through rain, the water hitting my back and soaking me....things stayed dry...it is now soiled, but, I have not washed it....it get washed by the weather....it is made of really strong and heavy nylon, it is blue, with very strong nylon that ties around your waist....with a clip that still works really well......I still use it........wish you guys could strat up again. Thoughtful design is how I would describe my bag, the "Asheville" bag. It is so comfortable, so much less painful on my neck than the Timbuk2 messenger bag.
